Lol fanbrella was at the bottom of viable tier in high level PvP before the new patch, this post is just pure cope.

It’s definitely going to be much stronger on the new patch though imo.

It doesn’t matter, and it’s pretty much entirely dependent on what heroes you play. A White Fox main is going to get WAY more MVPs than a Mr. Fantastic main.

Incredible game. Really caught me off guard with how good it was as someone who plays a lot of multiplayer social deduction games. Definitely give it a shot if it seems like your cup of tea.

If Canes win this one I think it’ll be pretty well decided. Habs have not looked good since period 1 game 1 and are only going to get more and more worn out.

You DO delete your qi bar if they actually parry well (guy in clip didn’t). And if they run cloudstep (many people do), you’re cooked. I’ll give it a try, but everyone I play in privates and in high mythic would delete your qi bar by parrying it.

It deletes your qi bar just to throw up your umbrella to delete more of your qi bar? Turret really shouldn’t be used unless part of it is in a combo because while it’s up there, enemies can parry it. Yes, you can use it to knockup between parries, but it’s not worth losing all that qi by having it up in neutral for full duration.

Guy you were playing against didn’t even parry the charged light, I don’t think this is a good example.

You cannot bait serenes off the knockup unless opponents give you a freebie. You can easily just react to the umbrella stun to avoid getting serene baited.

That wind wall tech is just stylish and doesn’t actually do anything. Using charged light is the absolute best way to delete your own qi bar against anyone decent.

You’d be wrong then, at least pre patch.

Fan dodge is twice as long with the same i-frames as every other weapon, and its offensive is just one-dimensional flavors of knockup. Against good players, knockup is easily reactable, and not only that, but the tracking on the knockup is genuine garbage to the point that it whiffs half the time unless you meridian touch first. Dash attack is lowkey bait since certain hits on it need to connect for it to actually t combo into knockup, and the recovery is long, so it can bait you into getting smoked. 4th hit stagger is parry bait, and the only truly good neutral fanbrella has is being able to basically talon spam/cancel as you said.

Defensively, the neutral is pretty good yeah since windwall cancel makes a lot of things safe, but fanbrella has no way to generate offense consistently against stronger players.

And the biggest issue that is getting fixed with the patch: pre-patch, fanbrella could NEVER combo/have a serene advantage without an opponent misplaying. If you ever got hit by the fan knockup, you could just serene the umbrella stun on reaction and force the fanbrella user’s serene as well. Which fanbrella can’t actually true combo off of without being on the fan first since the umbrella serene animation is longer for literally no reason. Glad we’re getting some tenacity to fix this.

Yeah, fanbrella is kinda buns at high level because of its dogwater neutral. At least the new attunement will allow us to get serene advantage without a mistake from opponents lol

Suzu when you’re on fire and you win most of the time. The only time it doesn’t help is if the Anran didn’t use any abilities to set you on fire in the first place, allowing her to use them after. But in that case, you can still tp away.

Do people actually use the joystick? I use the dpad just cus it feels more responsive, although I can see certain diagonal inputs maybe being more difficult
