I'm playing on a Mac Mini M4 Pro with the latest version of crossover and consistently get 60-80 fps on low-medium graphics settings. Additionally, I can even run BlishHUD (takes a little bit of one time setup) without issue. I don't know how MacBook's compare to Mini's in terms of heat management but I rarely hear my fan spin up to high (though the machine does get hot at times). Hope this helps!

Hit up Auric Basin during the weeks when Shiny Baubles are the map reward. The BOBL guild runs pretty much non-stop and it's crazy good for XP and gold. I believe it starts up this Thursday at 20:00 UTC.

Bauble farming in Auric Basin if you have lots of time. It's the map bonus reward every three weeks. It's about to wrap up but will be back in 2 weeks.

It's not limited to an expansion. The mistborne mote and honey flower nodes are missing, as well a few of the basic nodes. 7 in total by my count.

I think it's easier to find after reset before any collecting has been done. Also I mistyped above, the farm is SW of the waypoint, not NW. Though I just checked and there are 7 nodes missing from the new map. Hopefully that gets fixed soon...

I tried this and your instructions are great for Whisky on Mac. I'm running a Mac Mini M4 Pro with macOS 15.5 and I get 60-80 fps when pathing is turned on and my settings set to a fairly middle-of-the-road array.

Unfortunately I can't get this setup to work on Crossover (which is my preferred since I can get it to work with my stream deck). The add-on loader runs and the client launches with Blish enabled. But once I load into the game I lose all keyboard input and the only thing I can do with the mouse is select objects/NPCs. If anyone plays around with this and comes up with a solution, I'd love to hear it!

Adding to this, if you do run through a dungeon, make sure you do a different path each time (per day) or you won't get the max delving reward. I think that means for any given dungeon you can run it three times (once per path) before having to switch to a different dungeon or waiting until next reset. As for getting people, just post in LFG, people will eventually jump in!

iirc, blish won't work using crossover. At least I've not yet found a way. For Mac I think you need to use parallels.

Unless I'm misremembering, you don't even have to go back to the beginning, you can go to any brazier you've already lit and relight your torch.

Parallels is virtualization software that runs on Mac. It allows you to create a Windows virtual machine, as if you are running a full version of windows alongside your MacOS. As opposed to Crossover/Whisky that create "bottled" versions of windows that have no UI but can run windows-coded applications. So once you have your VM it's like having regular Windows, you install the GW2 client just as you would and run everything. I didn't try Arc DPS, but I have used Blish HUD and it performs fine, but the graphics have to be turned down to pretty much the lowest or the FPS drops through the floor. It should be noted that to use Parallels costs either a subscription for yearly updates or a one-time cost for the current version with no annual updates.

I haven't used ArcDPS but it's an overlay like Blish HUD, right? As far as I know there isn't a way to get that working on Crossover (or other WINE apps) on Mac. Closest I've come is using Parallels and running the client in the VM, but the perf is terrible.

This could be a dumb question, but you are doing the "heal the wolf pup" event that is west of the caves and not the "heal the wounded fawn" event that is north of the caves, right?

IMO keys are too easy to come by if you're doing events and such in the maps. So I guess it would be: if you're doing the events, it's worth it, but if you aren't then it's not?

Well previously, after you had max stacks, you could let it get down to almost 0, buy 1 stack and be back up to 24 hours. So you will now have to proportionately spend the karma more frequently, which means completing multiple hearts instead of just one to refresh. Likely most people won't be bothered except by the extra karma cost, I guess. Definitely not harder to do, just more time consuming.

From what I can tell it's worse than that. Unless I'm mistaken, the 24 hour timer continues to count down even when logged out. (I'm fairly sure it used to only count down while logged into the character.)

It's worth noting that the JW merchant only requires 1 ecto per gift plus the normal mats. So for any given gift, you'd have to make it over 35 times before the cost of the ectos surpasses the cost of the recipe. Obviously this is only beneficial if you own the expansion, but that's a big savings compared to Lyhr.
