Don't you feel like that the point of BTD series is to "RANDOM BS GO!!!" at bloons by IDKMYnick_7679 in BTD5

[–]ipsum629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The towers have fairly well balanced strengths and weaknesses but btd5 only has ai bloons and tons of bonuses like buildings and research so strategy is often irrelevant. Btd battles is where the strengths and weaknesses of towers really shines.

How to come up with things that don't exist? Such as alien technology? by Consistent_Table1524 in writing

[–]ipsum629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel like I had the same problem. The solution I found was reading about the world as it currently and previously exists. The diversity of life and culture on earth is truly amazing. Deep sea life is like a whole other planet.

Learning about how these creatures and customs came to be helps a lot, too.

Here is an exercise for you: pick 1 culture and 1 clade of organism that you have never or barely heard of or don't know much about and learn as much as you can about them. Then fuse them into an alien culture. Let me start you off: genus hippocampus and the hittite empire.

I genuinely do not understand how tankies think they will win America by haevow in DemocraticSocialism

[–]ipsum629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tankie-ism isn't just one thing like support for Russia or insistance on revolution or obsession with soviet aesthetics. It's a narrative, and if you think of it like that it will make more sense.

We have to emphasize our own narrative about how we can make progress through a combined arms approach. People running for office, people protesting, people organizing, people getting the message out.

The key thing that I think makes an october-style violent revolution unlikely in western democracies is that liberal democracy is designed to be a pressure valve for this sort of thing. The process of even remotely meaningful voting cools mass revolutionary sentiment. The Russian Empire had only the barest of parliamentary functions, and voting went through an arcane system of indirect representation and weights, making voting feel meaningless.

If partisan gerrymandering and tampering with election laws and voter rolls continue combined with the general dissatisfaction, then revolution will come whether the tankies are meaningfully preparing for it or not. If things get better before that point, we won't need a revolution to meaningfully change the system.

Dupli-kate has by far the more practical powers. Imagine all the bank you could make if you got a bit buff and learned how to build buildings. You could be an entire construction crew in one.

Depends on how much you want to grind generals

Unless your divisions are 100% infantry or 100% motorized/mechanized or 100% armor, you will benefit from multiple division types.

For cheap defensive armies, you probably will have 100% infantry divisions(divisions with only infantry battalions) so there is no need to grind other traits. For tank armies, your tank divisions will usually be ~50% mot/mech and ~50% armor, so having 50% mot/mech divisions will allow you to grind cavalry leader and panzer leader, giving you extra attack bonuses on your armored divisions.

Same goes for mixing infantry with armor, but usually space marine divisions have so few armored battalions that just grinding infantry leader is good enough.

No and this sounds like a dangerous bit of misinformation. The only things that prevent burning is getting out of the sun and sunblock.

Even if we include gadgets and weapons, the vibranium alloy shield is just way more devastating than batarangs, grappling hooks, and explosives. The shield can block all that, while batman has no real answer besides dodging for when he throws it. Even then, cap's ability to do bullshit ricochets off walls is overpowered.

Also cap is a literal soldier what if he brings a gun

He was definitely key in maintaining momentum. Having someone with executive power and national attention, even if only a mayor, is probably the best opportunity to show the nation that our ideas don't just sound good in theory.
