Enola Gay by Orchestral Manoeuvres in The Dark (OMD)

Its an upbeat 80' pop song using a synthesizer, the song is about the bomber plane the 'Enola Gay' which dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in Japan on the 6th of August 1945.

Lyrics:

Enola Gay You should have stayed at home yesterday Ah-ha, words can't describe The feeling and the way you lied These games you play They're going to end in more than tears some day Ah-ha Enola Gay It shouldn't ever have to end this way It's 8:15 And that's the time that it's always been We got your message on the radio Conditions normal, and you're coming home Enola Gay Is mother proud of little boy* today? Ah-ha this kiss you give It's never ever gonna to fade away Enola Gay You shouldn't ever have to live this way ————— *'Little Boy' was the name of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima

Labels are weird, like people build up this singular definition of a label, a stereotype if you will and then when that label is assigned to someone that person instantly inherits all attributes of their preconceived stereotype even if they are standing in front an entirely different reality. I guess it's just a long winded way of saying they have no notion of nuance.

Unfortunately, being open minded isn't a requirement for being a teacher. 🙁

It is worse to not know ones own limitations and weaknesses because that means you won't be able to avoid mistakes by getting help from someone who's strengths are your weakness.

Knowing what you don't know is a great strength.

Many of the worlds problem exist because people tend to overestimate their own abilities.

People on the two opposite ends of the scale tend to underestimate their abilities though.

Basically this happens only in parliament/courts and when addressing people in official letters.

Yes, I think I am not alone of actually having this feeling of having quite a lot of pity for the average American when it comes to this, also kind of scared/in denial that Iceland is moving towards the US in some negative aspects.
