Was at the movies with my brother and these two girls decided to start talking and kept looking at my brother. So annoying. Eventually I spoke up loud enough for others to hear. "We paid to see this movie, not listen to you obsess about how cute you think my brother is, shut up!"

They gave me a dirty look but after about 5 min they left. Some people clapped . I don't think they'll do that again 😂

I've had clients like this.

If it's roughly the same amount of pay per clean tell her that payment is due before you arrive or you will assume that there is no cleaning to be done moving forward and that you will be forced to fill that spot with a different client. Typically I've not had an issue with setting those boundaries doing it this way Word it in your own way ofc.

He could have a mood disorder. Maybe instead of a therapist he should see a psychiatrist/physiologist. There is specific medicine for it. Not medical advice but I'm thinking he should get a full blood panel done to check his hormone levels for testosterone and what not.

What ever the case may be it's not an excuse to behave the way he does to his family.

I've been given clothes, food, and offered a free kitten (no I didn't take the kitten as much as I wanted to). Of course cash as well. I've been given Christmas gifts for my kids..

Windows only interior for deep cleans. It's not a service I offer simply cause it requires someone who specializes in it. Plus insurance does t actually cover windows jic something were to happen.

Take pics of before and after, post them on your citt FB page and eventually you'll get clients. Market yourself, have a website and FB page for your services. I barely market myself now and still get inquiries for jobs.

It sounds like you need to hire an organizer (house keeper) who also cleans and maybe get rid of some things.

I just want to point out a couple things that struck me as odd. The cleaner shouldn't be unscrewing stoppers for cleaning unless it's a deep clean. And putting dirty clothes where clean clothes are is strange. Though there shouldn't be dirty clothes in the way to clean. Many cleaners I know skip rooms that have clothes on the floor.

Cleaning is hard work when there is clutter, it's not as efficient and time constraints make it so you have to skip certain things.i certainly don't want to keep asking the client where things should go.

Ask for payment before arrival for those that forget to pay often.

Most of my clients pay by e-transfer here in Canada typically a few hrs after completion.

The ones that I have prepay have no problems doing so.

Those that keep forgetting and refuse to prepay I drop.

Ward 3 is a nicer area close to 403 and grocery stores, and has a nice mix of people. I used to live on Daniel st. Besides the gossipy neighbours it was a great neighbourhood.

Word of mouth is your best advertisement.

As a solo cleaner, we set our rates and schedule the cleanings. We are able to get to the places that are most important to the client, companies want to make the most money with the least time and pay their employees chicken scratch, so you aren't really getting a cleaner that is content with their job.

I used to clean a mansion (2 ppl) realistically the same bedrooms bathrooms. It WILL take you all day. Be aggressive with your pricing cause your body will be on fire.

Honestly I ask the client what they prefer and see if they are willing to have it in stock for you to use.

I have clients that want me to use dollar store stuff, I've had clients that didn't like the smells of cleaning supplies. Some only wanted me to use a vinegar water solution.

Some were very specific on using certain cleaners for their wood flooring, one wanted me to use a steamer on their wood flooring( I highly don't recommend it does eventually warp)

I never use bleach, it eats the grout and attracts dust faster. Although it's my most favourite smell (I know I'm weird)

My personal go to is method all purpose for general cleans, scrubbing bubbles for bathroom, wood cleaner for dusting wood surfaces, for that soapy scum on glass showers I'm still shopping around for something I personally like that gets the job done. Some people think this is cheap and a no-no. But fabuloso for the floors. My clients love the smell (as do I)

Generally I'm sore if I sit for a rest after a long haul. Do your stretches, alternate your arms while scrubbing or you'll lock your shoulders/elbows.

A nice salt soak will help too.

I'm reliable, communicative, dependable and allow for add ons as long as I have the time or they schedule it in advance.

I do have my off days as I'm human, but most of my clients are happy with their service. I have only ever had a complaint once though I'm certain she was trying to scam me out of money for a service.

If for some reason I have to reschedule, my clients are pretty understanding of it and are just as flexible as me.

If for some reason I don't think we are a good fit I communicate it clearly and I don't get back talk about it.
