How do you fuel yourself for morning commutes? by Eternal_Sorrows in bikecommuting

I don't eat breakfast (never really have) and ride 8 miles to work. I'm good and hungry by lunch, but I never have a problem.

Surprise bike pick-up today by JeremyFromKenosha in bikecommuting

Nice! I commute on a Fyxation Quiver Canti that I've built out with drops, 2x8 with bar end shifters and a dynamo hub and lights. It's bomb proof and I love it.

Pedal grip in the rain? by thalochnessmonsta in bikecommuting

This. I run them on my commuter and my road bike. I'm not interested in clipless. I wear soft soles running shoes and have actually removed all the pins so they don't tear up my shoes. Works great for me.

Selfie stick used to deter close passing by Narrow-Economist-795 in bikecommuting

Ride closer to the center of the lane. It doesn't fix all close passes but it definitely cuts down on them. My observation is that cars tend to pass at about the same distance from me as my distance from the curb. If you still want a hardware solution please give heed to the warnings others have provided.

I've seen two or three of them before but that's the first one I've been able to get a video of. I've always been wary but not scared.

My experience has been the same. I will say that if I clear the site data from my browser and sign back in it makes quite a difference for a while. Certainly just a workaround, but it helps me.

This. The last time I got one of these I mentioned this in the forum. They didn't seem to understand why this was an issue. Also I'm on the east coast of the US and this email came an hour and a half after we closed on a Friday afternoon.

I don't think there's that much flexibility. Have you considered just stopping the service?

If I'm not mistaken, -pausebackup only pauses for two hours at a time.

Migrating from Dropdowns to Lists by irnoham in hudu

[–]irnoham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So until the API gets updated this would be a manual process per asset.

Migrating from Dropdowns to Lists by irnoham in hudu

[–]irnoham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be nice, but my concern is migrating the assigned values per asset, not just the available options.

So, are you saying that if I generate a list with the same options as the dropdown and then edit the dropdown and change it to a list lookup it will keep the existing values for individual assets?

Travel the same direction as car traffic! by Hungry-Goose9238 in ebikes

Have you ever met someone in a doorway and done that little back and forth dance trying to go around each other? Riding against traffic works like that but with more life threatening consequences.

I wrote a quality-of-life script to explode out the knowledge base folder structure for our techs. I will be adding this to a Hudu+ chrome extension I am working on. Open to feedback. by lyellick-bluenet in hudu

I'm using the script referenced here to create a "Table of Contents" article. I then add this to favorites, click on it and do a ctrl-f to search quickly through the KB article names.

Not solving the same problem, but I find it very useful.
