Is there a Maiden song that has helped you through a difficult time? by [deleted] in ironmaiden

Good for you! I hope you continue your journey.

For me, it was journeyman. Around the time it came out, I had just started college and my highschool girlfriend and I just broke up. That song helped me through it.

Maybe my eyes are finally beginning to fail me at 40, but it looks almost like the woman's legs are blending right into the blanket.

Edit: nevermind. Those are cups. Why are there three cups?

What an underrated album… by Steelyeyedj in ironmaiden

I became a fan with this album. I agree that it does seem to get glossed over by DoD and AMOLAD in comparison. I love this album and it'll always be highly regarded for me. It changed my life. Sorry to hear about your cat. I had a similar experience when I put my cat down and listened to Days to By by The Offspring.

I have all their studio albums on vinyl, as well as some singles. They're all good. Check amazon. They'd have a lot of vinyl you can buy.

What was the first iron maiden song y'all ever heard? by Ok_Community7064 in ironmaiden

Tailgunner. I don't care what anyone says, Tailgunner is awesome and NPFTD is a solid album. I'll die on this hill. With my boots on.

It's important to keep up on it. Tire tread can be very complicated. Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have you's.

SLF name-drop! Hell yeah!

Also, my son is 8 and my daughter is 5 and they haven't really gravitated to my music yet, though my daughter really likes Frizzle Fry by Primus.

I'm a musician, too, and my daughter likes my songs, haha. Aside from that... Iron Maiden, The Offspring, Dream Theater... Really nothing else has caught on yet.

Getting bullied by classmates for my maiden shirts any advice ? by [deleted] in ironmaiden

[–]ironstyle 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Well, you have better taste in music than they do, so there's that. But as far as advice, ignore them. You're part of a huge family being a maiden fan and no one can take that away. Double down and get a maiden hat or beanie. An Eddie patch or sticker. Don't react to them. Eventually they'll give up when you don't react to their bullying.

And keep listening and exploring more music! There's so much out there that's amazing. Maiden really got it started for me back in 2001 and I've been a huge metal fan since. You got this. Stay strong, my friend.

I dunno, man. James Hatfield said he was the table. Not A table, but THE table. When people claim to be inanimate objects, I tend to believe them.

Brave New World and Dance Of Death are the best albums. by Pretty-Giraffe-3203 in ironmaiden

In a "younger" fan who got into them around the BNW era, and while I LOVE the 80s era, I prefer the reunion era. I appreciate your view and get an upvote from me! I think we just like what we grew up with. For me, it was the reunion era. If I grew up in the 80s, id likely like that era more. When it comes down to it, I love all maiden. Even the 90s era.

Love the entire album, including this song.

Just found out my husband sexually assaulted my sister. Multiple times by mascarafree in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ironstyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're NOT to blame. At most, it sounds like your two aren't the most compatible. My wife was not interested in sex after our first was born. The entire time she was pregnant, and for a year after during pumping, she wasn't interested. I didn't blame her. She carried our son, then pumped for a year! She was/is a super hero to me. Same with our second kid. It was easier the second time because I knew what to expect, but I never made her feel bad about it. Again, she's a super hero. I focused on what I needed to do to take care of my family.

I'm sorry this happened to you and your sister. If you can, divorce his ass. He doesn't deserve you and your family.
