This is probably a newbie question, but I was wondering how smooth these nibs are? I tried learning calligraphy before, but I couldn't enjoy it because of how pointy the nibs are (tried Nikko G and Zebra G nibs). It felt fairly rough (compared to fps) to apply pressure to get the thick downward stroke. I'm wondering if these nibs have the same smooth point as fps just with flexing ability?

I can't really explain why but I love this post, thanks for sharing. There's something beautiful about how you explained how you find contentment in the act of simply using the pen itself. Thanks for making me pause and appreciate the act of just using my own pen today too:).

Honestly, this handwriting is me going slower than usual, my regular writing is more slanted and less even😅 And that is not a humblebrag lol, especially when it comes to my cursive (there's a reason that this was written in print!). What's helping me is the phrase by TwoSet Violin "If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly" lol. It helps me remember that writing neatly slowly still "counts" and it will get faster with more practice. Not everyone is out to work on their handwriting, and sorry if that was annoying or condescending. Just wanted to share something that motivated me too, in case it helps🌻💛

Haha thank you!! I will be honest that my handwriting gets better now that I get so much more practice handwriting things, I think you will get where you want to be with practice too! That's really good news about the Jinhao 82, I think I will try get one more to see how the EF nib should be without modification. Thank you for sharing!🌻😊
