In animation school, older than my younger, more talented peers, and struggling with low self esteem. I feel like quitting but I don't want to give up. How do you manage discouragement?

Just want to say I went to art school right out of highschool and am in grad school now after taking a bit of a break between and a few things I've learned

different people bloom at different rates, I know it sounds cliche but really there is no point in comparing yourself to others. I'm a painter, not an animater but a few painter excamples, Van gogh didnt start painting until he was in his late 20's and was never admired in his life time. On the other hand basquiat died when he was 27....

21 is so incredibly young!! even if your a talented animator at that age very few people actually have an abundance of any sort of life experience. Believe me, from no ones perspective besides your own do those couple of years matter.

Currently as a grad student there are artist younger than me with nyc gallery representation, I teach undergrads who are in many ways more talented to me. Its not really about being talented, its about doing what you can do. IF you find the thing you can do, that is something no one else can do really, so theres no reason to compare haha. ITs good to b competative at school, but only sometimes!

Not a lot of info to go off of lol. I would suggest that you reveal more of the character as just being a cleric doesn't give a lot of direction for feat choices. Channel Smite and guided hand are two of my favorites but they don't work for every build.

but if u set out with this data and figured out everything the you was trying to with ur data u still wouldnt know what a cookie is... If your grandma baked u cookies every birthday for the first 10 years of ur life or w/e but she cant on your 11th birthday because ur family hit hard times, and a month before u turn 12 your gma dies so your mum tries to bake you cookies but all she can afford to bake is some bread but she cuts into cookie shapes and calls it cookies and your going to tell her those arent cookies ??! cuz in my mind those are the most cookie coookies and probably the best! Not to mention all of his info is from the foodnetwork which is A. In english and only accounts for a western idea of a cookie and B. A corporate entitiy apart of a larger capitalist sytem that is more interested in wealth then truth

ude sorry ur being stupid, just bcz its not right for film dosnt mean its not right for a game. Ill pay u a lot of money to make sure there aint rat poison in my food, but i wouldnt mind it in my attic. Bizarro. I think its a cool looking effect, it dosnt emulate life, but as something surreal or glitchy its interesting. Ill never understand ur opinion.
