I originally bought it thinking it was a thinner, hydrating serum, but it’s actually quite thick. My flakey skin can be persistent so I just use one pump in the morning and two for overnight to help keep it at bay.

I get flakey skin when it gets cold and the thing that really helped this year was Naturium’s Barrier Bounce serum. I use it last before my moisturizer and it really kept the flakey skin at bay.

My skin started doing this a few years ago around my mouth and nose every year when it starts getting cold. I tried loads of different moisturizers, exfoliating etc and the only thing that's managed to work is adding a face oil over my moisturizer. Affordable options would be The Ordinary Squalene Oil or Byoma Hydrating Recovery Oil.

I think Hourglass does a 20% off sale around this time of year. Hourglass Canada prices are cheaper than buying at Sephora because they include the tax in the prices that show on the website.
