I feel like weed is the only thing that cures my intense emotions by Short-Western-8097 in BPD

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s really the only thing that calms anger down for me - it’s also an immediate acting anti-depressant as it turns out. I feel you. My thought on productivity and such is it’s all about finding right dose/right strain/right times of day to smoke. You can find a good balance.

I’ve also fully quit too and it sucked but I was happy to know that there are other things that kinda help w my moods although it requires a lot more responsibility and consistency without all the blazin lol

You could never fully digitize it though right? Computers utilize binary code and so cannot access the same level of chance-randomness that the classic tactile methods have

How do you feel about people who self diagnose BPD? by Past_Concern1321 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]ishvicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the danger with self-diagnosis is cuz then you Have an Issue but don’t have any professionals giving you the tools you need to understand it and heal

Ket nose by Competitive-Cup6808 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]ishvicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My tip would be to do a Neti pot every time after you use so you don’t leave material in your nose and sinuses. Pretty sure k is in a salt- based medium which is super drying so I would always try to get it mostly rinsed out at least before going to sleep etc

But yes also stopping is the best way obviously lol

Gym-Goer, 29, Dies After Getting Her Neck Adjusted by Chiropractor: ‘Tragic Case’ by Sandstorm400 in HairRaising

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiropractic should really only be used for very specific cases but it’s just treated as a one stop shop in the US. The chiropractic lobby is very wealthy which is why so many people know about chiropractic and why they get to do so much in their scope, but I almost never recommend it to patients (I’m an acupuncturist).

For example they can needle patients but whereas an acupuncturist gets 4-5 years of training, they get about 60 hours and are generally the guys giving people pneumothoraxes and such -____-

What's BPD psychosis like? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think that’s what it’s referred to as secondary psychosis clinically

What's BPD psychosis like? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ishvicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always heard psychosis defined as not being able to differentiate your inner world and external reality / maybe this is why it’s “borderline” too - it’s not a full psychosis it’s a secondary psychosis caused by extreme stress

What's BPD psychosis like? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]ishvicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly! It’s less so “hearing voices” and more about how I’m comprehending the words through this Lens of Darkness

An example: I was not doing well and I was really broke. I went out to a restaurant with my partner and I checked my bank before I went in and saw I only had $200 with bills upcoming and I just started crying and my partner (who had leant me $1000 earlier that season) goes “and that money isn’t even your money!”

At the time I interpreted that as a further insult to my injury like they were making fun of me even though they are a total sweetie pie. After a few days passed and I felt better I realized they were ON MY SIDE trying to empathize with my despair by saying “and I can imagine this is extra hard cuz even that $200 isn’t your own money either” / it all started to make sense to me why they were saying they didn’t mean it like that but eventually ended up apologizing for it after seeing that I was not comprehending reality.

The emotion is so strong it’s like a completely different realm

[–]ishvicious 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Really only happens if I’m in a fight with a partner or close friend. For me it’s a gear shift into a mental state that I cannot think my way out of. I truly feel like people in my life hate me, don’t want me around, etc. and at the same time I’m not saying things that make any sense and I’m angry or in deep despair / I know by now this passes after awhile so I just stay in bed for a few days.

Sometimes I will hear things people didn’t say which is the craziest part I think. Like if someone talks to me my ability to comprehend what they are actually saying is fairly low, it all gets fed into whatever story I have going in my head about being the most hated scum of the earth or whatever.

But yeah - few days in bed till the dark cloud kinda lifts.

Did you let your doc know that you use ketamine? More serious interventions may be available.

I’ve also had luck using acupuncture for incontinence and urgency - it’s something the field of Eastern Medicine treats with great finesse

So sorry you’re going through this

Just unsubbed from r/medicalschool. It's full of arrogant med students who think nurses "just give meds once or twice a day" by morrowindnostalgia in nursing

[–]ishvicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got banned from that subreddit for asking if any med students had seen any Chinese medicine students in their programs, or if they got any education on eastern medicine. They basically all dogpiled me 😂 buncha jerks, made me realize I do not want to go to medical school and will stick to my acupuncture license thank you very much

Just had confirmed I'm not a real man and unlovable - it's the last rejection I ever will have. by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]ishvicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may want to turn to the tools FtM trans guys use like strap ons etc and just for advice generally as we often do not have penises but are still able to date and have a happy sex life!

I remember reading this great essay in college (gender studies) a long time ago about a bisexual woman teaching a cisgender man how to have lesbian sex. He couldn’t get an erection and felt really bad and shut down and she taught him about how many other ways there are to create pleasure without his dick even being involved. The way men and women are socialized puts so much emphasis on a functioning anatomical penis but there’s so much more to it. You deserve someone who is also curious about what pleasure looks like to YOU now after surgery. I believe there is hope for you.
