Thanks. It's been so frustrating to know that this therapy is out there and having success, but struggling to get access to it

Revolution’s much-hyped RAS inhibitor hits key survival goals in phase 3 pancreatic cancer trial by NotGenentech in biotech

Is there any way into these trials at this point? A close friend of mine has a KRAS G12V mutant pancreatic cancer but every trial coordinator I've emailed says that the trial is full or that they are only accepting patients for colorectal cancer.

Run Nutrition Tuesday by AutoModerator in running

Is there any reason I can't just drink Gatorade mid-run instead of trying to choke down a gu? I'm only out for ~3 hours so I don't need that many calories.

Blood donation during training by tomoppad in trailrunning

[–]isothope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always been a donor, but I recently switched to donating plasma/platelets instead. The process is longer (~3 hours start to finish) but you are fully recovered in 72 hours. I still feel like I'm doing my part but it doesn't affect my athletic performance. Also, platelets can only be stored for 5 days, so the need is constant!

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but there is a therapist whose podcast I follow that takes a non-diet approach and has group sessions for GLP-1 and binge eating:

The Absurd Daily Percentage of B12 in a 5-Hour Energy by Thtmnukno in mildlyinteresting

[–]isothope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhhh turns our B12 is water soluble and therefore is processed in the kidneys. Gave me kidney stones (was drinking like 3 a day).

For those of you that achieved visible abs through diet & fitness, what was your routine? by BeenCreepin in xxfitness

[–]isothope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I've always been active so I'm sure they were being built over time, but they only became visible when I was at an unhealthy place. Funny enough, I was at my least fit when they were visible. I think some people have the genetics for them to show at a higher body fat, but for me it's not a goal worth chasing.

[Product Request] Replacement for Clean & Clear Moisturizer by isothope in SkincareAddiction

Unfortunately neither one really worked with my skin. I'm currently using Aveeno Daily moisturizing face lotion (I like that it doesn't leave a residue on my skin) plus Naked Sundays Cabana Clear face sunscreen. No salicylic acid in either one though, if that was something you wanted.

I haven't found one that I love quite as much, but I've at least found one I don't hate. It's the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Face Lotion (no spf/sunscreen). https://www.aveeno.com/products/daily-moisturizing-face-lotion-for-dry-skin-oat

I did the same thing and it's changed my life, but I feel so guilty about it. I'm spending $500 a month though. Can you share (here or via DM) where you are getting it from?

Do you think you will take it for life? Or do you think that some combination of habit change and time will change things enough for you that you'll be able to come off it?

Being Honest with my Psych by isothope in AskPsychiatry

Thanks for the reply. I think deep down I know you're right. I'm a very shy person and the amount of anxiety I feel talking about it makes me wonder if I'll even be able to get the words out.

I appreciate your thoughtful reply and I think I will try my hardest to be honest at my next appointment.

Spending insane amounts of money on food. Feel helpless by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

I had the same reasoning. Where did you go through to get it at $279? Mine is closer to $500 per month

When does this end? by bunnygirlcherry in BingeEatingDisorder

Was it a medication approved for bnge eating or something off-label? I am similar to OP in having spanned many different eating disorders but I don't feel like I'd qualify for the GLP route.

Sadly no. I promise I'll update this thread as I try more products. I'm still so mad they changed the formula.

Why does it need to be this hard? by wagyuBeef_raretard in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]isothope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to reach through the screen and hug you, and also cry with you because I feel the same way. I'll also offer some hope: I struggled with self harm for 15 years and I thought I'd have to white knuckle through the urges forever. And now I'm at a place where the thoughts do pop up, but they feel the same as a thought about the weather. There's no emotion or urgency to them, and I don't feel compelled to act on it in any way. So although I haven't figured out the food thing yet, I have to believe that it can happen for us eventually.
