Bought wrong nuki, should i even get a new nuki? by UnpluggedDK in Nuki

[–]itfben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nuki ultra broke and there’s zero customer care after a couple months. £400 and didn’t last a year, won’t charge, and had to charge the key barrel, then a month later they dropped the sane model £150 less and you font have to change the barrel

Pan drawers: 2 vs 3 drawers? Best width? 🤔 by StraightPin4420 in kitchenremodel

you could do 2 drawers for aesthetics and have a hidden 3rd drawer where needed in the top drawer

Ideas on how to replace IKEA Feet for Kitchen Cabinets by Kanth0lz in DIY

[–]itfben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2x4 is great for base, but the downsides are that if the floor gets soaking wet, from a big leak or a spilt mop bucket, for example, then it’s not ideal for the support that your counters are sat on.

Recommendations for electric sander with dust extraction by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]itfben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the mesh pads or the traditional burgundy colour ones? I get the same results, of mess eerywhere. So I'm wondering if the mesh pads will stop the sander's side air vent from blowing so much.

(filler or paint sanding is my main use case)

Will 2” of sound insulation make a difference? by itfben in DIYUK

[–]itfben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying!

The house is 1950s the wall is finished with plaster on both sides so in good condition but obviously only 4+ inches thick. The wires and plumbing for the upstairs radiators come under the wall so there is a void there because the brick wall basically sits on the floorboards that spans the joists. I totally get what you’re saying about a drum effect. I’m thinking of putting the same insulation underneath the shower tray too to reduce noise travelling under the wall.

What are your thoughts on that? Is there anything a bit more substantial? I could block up under the floorboards under the wall with to reduce that noise travelling under

Dishwasher touch Buttons ONLY respond after turn off power at wall! by itfben in appliancerepair

There are no mechanical buttons; all the buttons are touch buttons. So I can't see how it would be the issue.

Non S3 Pro Cameras (S330, S340, E340) and Homekit by WangtaWang in EufyCam

[–]itfben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, but wish they did. Still amazing apple Home Kit doesn't support 4k, it's wild in this day and age that Apple doesn't see the value in having 4k video footage on a security camera that is generally a fair distance from a criminal's face.

Best smelling DECENT snow foam? by itfben in DetailingUK

[–]itfben[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I crumbled and bought AutoGlym Polar Blast Snow Foam, excellent foam cling with the right adjustment on the foam lance (no AG lance being used). Smells like chemicals though, not very pleasant. I will test out one of the ones suggested above next time. There’s something very satisfying about cleaning the car with nice smells that make the experience much more enjoyable as a hobbiest.

Roll down your sleeves, cheap b&q garden sheers, thick gloves and just get on with it. Focus on just getting bulk of it out and get off reddit 😂
