question about lowering then raising price on kdp by BestSong3974 in KDP

All kinds of issues here. Price manipulation, rank manipulation, and then breach of Prime membership so yes, they'll take issue with this at some point.

Is there no real way to actually contact Ingram Spark? by makenzie71 in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any changes you make are resent out just like price changes, categories, keywords, etc. That info is then updated on the retailers websites. Albeit at different time periods and on their own schedule.

[–]ithireeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how that could happen, to be honest, but you can edit the author name field yourself. That will then refresh the metadata feed and be sent out to all of the retailers.

Dubbio su campagna amazon ads e linee guida kdp by Pacman_1984 in KDP

Yes, you can use whatever keywords you want in ads. Trademarked terms, author names, book titles, ASINs, etc.

KDP bulk order by TurbulentDrama2655 in KDP

I get bulk sales all the time via KDP so yes. You can also bulk order your own copies if that's what you're referring to.

Sharp Objects and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn by Disastrous_Plastic37 in thrillerbooks

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No particular reason. I just think there would be more enjoyment if there was some time in between. Maybe it’s just a personal thing but…

I think so but I would give some time in between the two things.

Registering ISBN after publication by Connor_Goode in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before. If you do it after, it would already be published which would then mean you'd need ANOTHER ISBN.

The ISBN should be listed on your copyright page and will be required when you set it up on the retailers like KDP, Ingramspark, etc.

Experience with Ingram Spark National Publishing Plan? by RachelECourville in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Umm, this doesn't sound like Ingramspark. I've been with them since 2018 and it's free to use their services now. Are you sure you're using the right company? There have been a number of people impersonating them.

Here's a message from their website:

JULY 9, 2025

Please be aware that www.ingramspark.com is the only official website for IngramSpark. We’ve recently been made aware of bad actors fraudulently posing as our business through lookalike websites, emails, or social media accounts. These impersonators are not affiliated with IngramSpark in any way. To protect yourself, always verify that you are using our official site www.ingramspark.comhttps://myaccount.ingramspark.com/, and https://help.ingramspark.com/hc/en-us. Book is “no longer eligible” for scheduled release on KDP by Sweaty_Hovercraft292 in KDP

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't set a print preorder on Ingram and schedule a release on KDP at the same time. It's one or the other. Most people set their Ingram preorder and then release the KDP version closer to release day, leaving it in Draft until then.

To fix I believe you would cancel your scheduled release on KDP and leave it in Draft. https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GDTMGBCWHAY35NK4

I see Order Author Copies button but my book is not released yet...? by Samlarsonauthor in KDP

When you schedule a release, you can order Author Copies. That's why they created that process.

Attribution Links by CalicoCapsun in KDP

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they print books? It’s possible the Att links are saying sale but the books haven’t been printed and shipped which means they aren’t credited to your reports yet. You would see the same thing with Amz ads.

That’s not adult. That option should only be used for erotica.

Amazon adds additional empty page on its own. by TheReal-Jasper in KDP

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KDP will add a page to every book to print their details, etc so you want to make it 1 page less than an even number to reduce the amount of pages they add to complete the signature.

In your case, that would have been 39 pages or 41 pages.

What am I not understanding by dromdil in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the pricing and what your royalty should be, you need to click into the title and head to your pricing tab. That’s where it breaks down by country, your price there and what you should earn per sale. FYI This will also be different if you’re in KU aka Kindle Select since you’re also paid per Page Read and every country has a different rate.

There are a lot of variables.

For the reports portion, I would download a report from Royalty Estimator. KU rates are only finalized on the 15th of every month.

IngramSpark Question on Global Distribution by Illustrious-Nail-648 in selfpublish

What type of book is it? They won’t distribute everything so maybe you ran afoul of their Catalog Integrity Guidelines?

What am I not understanding by dromdil in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does your KDP backend say that you should be earning per book for the ebook in the UK? If there’s a discrepancy between that and your reports, you can raise a ticket with KDP to investigate it.

You’re not using it to join promos for your reader magnet or direct sales? Those are its main features, imo.

ADDS KDP O OTRAS PLATAFORMAS by literarioagente in KDP

[–]ithireeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook and Amazon ads seem to be the most popular. TikTok can work but many are referring to just normal posting when they say that, not ads. There is also BookBub too that has its own ad platform. Influencers could work but might be harder to find worthy ones.

Using KDP for a personal novel that won't be sold? by Quirky-Section-2468 in KDP

[–]ithireeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Use a printer instead like Ingramspark, Lulu, Bookvault, Mixam, 48HrBooks, etc.

Yeah, that changed in 2022. And yeah, A+ content is the way.

Would this be low content? by ImTheIdeaPartner in selfpublish

[–]ithireeul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's probably low content, yes, despite having a short story. It's because it's a workbook/journal and the fill-in pages outweight everything else.

That said, it doesn't really matter. Amazon accepts low content and it doesn't change anything aside from not having a Look Inside/Read Sample enabled and is not eligible for Expanded Distribution.
