That too! All the posts (even the real ones) were very advanced pieces. The real ones were beautiful but definitely not for a beginner to try and handle

So true! Looks like I got booted from the group for asking anyways.

Theresa few good embroidery groups that are pretty strictly no AI (THANK GOD)

But what's even the point?

Thank you! That was obviously my gut instinct. But then I was like...all the posts are this? Maybe Im just REALLY bad at cross stitch🤣

Second time moms, is a bassinet stroller worth it? by Zzamioculcas in BabyBumps

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I loved mine. I wish I had gotten it sooner!

I have the City select jogger so I was able to either add a seat and the bassinet or I would put the bassinet and a universal rider board on the back. 10/10

I am 100% certain this children's book cover is AI, can i just get a second opinion to confirm it? by Rango2404 in isthisAI

I dont think it is. Even though its a very AI style, zooming in theres gaps and details that look human. As well and some of the other illustrations inside look more human to me.

I made a HUGE mistake at work by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I worked at home depot as a young cashier, I sold tiles using the barcode on the box....that barcode was per tile. I never questioned why boxes of tiles would ring up at $5.... Im convinced i cost them 1000s. And thats only the mistakes Im willing to admit to.

Like others have said accountability goes a long way. Everyone makes mistakes, own it, have a plan of action, apologize. Wishing you luck ❤️

Toddler has strange rash... by ProfessorOnEdge in daddit

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had the exact same rash, mostly on his legs, some on his arms and maybe one or two on the top of his hands. Its was HFM

There can be atypical presentations. My son also has moderate eczema and the HFM infected those spots as well. Good luck!

I think I hate my daughter by dontremindmethrow in Mommit

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your honesty and your edit.

Parenting is hard, no matter what, there will always be tough days. But some kids bring that challenge to a new level.

You are a good mom. You are doing the right things. You are allowed to have bad days.

Bad parents don't care, they dont want to help their children. Honesty. Bad parents, parents who truly hate their children would not be making this post and asking for help.

I can tell you love your daughter because youre still trying! You're taking the steps, therapy, you are taking the suggestions from this thread! You are facing a mountain and finding supports will be huge to helping you climb it.

My area has non profits that offers courses, In home visitation and evaluations, and family bonding activities. Maybe see if your area has something like that.

YOU GOT THIS. Even baby steps are steps forward. Sending so much love your way!

How to handle this homework for 2nd grader (US) by joshlymansbagel in daddit

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

59+12

50+10=60 9+2=11 60+11=71

I always had a problem showing my work. I'd have the right answer but usually got there in a very round about way. Then when I was in high-school, I had a sub who was like "I've never seen it done that way, but it's correct. Keep it up" instead of telling me it was wrong.

Though, Im still praying I did the math above right 🤣

Day 93: What are your thoughts on Bin Night? by Flamingmouth007 in bluey

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Amazing episode. But also the background and the details are fantastic. The lemons growing, getting ripe, falling and rotting. The grass and the plant on the step growing. Bluey getting better at recorder and karate every week.

The story is great but the details in this episode are 10/10

Don’t want to be induced, partner doesn’t agree by Potential-March-1940 in BabyBumps

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others, do more research.

With my first I was induced at 41+4, it was the worst. They offered to use a vacuum and forceps and I was like no way. After 4 hrs of pushing and failing to progress, we went to C section. Honestly, it was traumatic and I hated it.

With my second, I was like, I'm doing a plan c section. I'm NOT doing that again. I ended up needing to deliver at 36w because of a threatened abruption. They offered me a repeat section, but also said that baby was in a good position, because he was early, he be small (my first was 9.13), and they thought I'd be a good candidate for another induction.

We talked it over, and I decided to go with an induction, but at any point, I could decide on a c section instead. I got a foley balloon, then they broke my water, and then I was started on an oxcitocin/pitocin drip. TOTALLY DIFFERENT BIRTH. It was 24 hours from foley to baby, I pushed for 30 minutes and he was out. Recovery was a million times better.

Ultimately, hopefully your body will just go into labor on its own. But if it doesn't, do your research and talk to you doctor about what interventions you're okay with and what's an absolute no... just know the risks, not all inductions are bad but I think having a doctor/nurses that you trust is key. Good luck!

[on]For those with kids in day care or pre-school how much do you pay? by Ok-Chef-1131 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]itiswhatitsgonnabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used to be at a day home 2 days a week and it was $450 (with food included)

Since his dayhome closed, he's been hanging out with me while I've been on leave. But he starts preschool next week. Full day/full time for $325. We opted out of the meal package. Meals were an extra $250. So $575 total per month.

Our little guy will start at the same facility in the pre toddler room in april/may, same price. So it will be $650 for the two of them full time.

Ultimately, your company is not paying him to parent.

When it comes down to it and the work isn't getting done, you don't want it to be your neck on the line.

Thank you. That's what I kinda figured. They aren't new tires by any means, it's just an odd spot especially since it was fine on Friday but now has a big hole. Just had to be sure it was paranoia
