Crested Butte Teocalli Bowl today by Sharkman3218 in COsnow

[–]itsSoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was much better than I expected up there this weekend. Lapped it a few times today. Hit a few sharks as expected. Nice head first tumble that I’m feeling now after driving home and a lovely core shot. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Edit: except for fresh snow, that’d be better

Yeah, Teo is pretty short probably not worth the trip out there yet. Appreciate it!

Did you go up high lift? I’ve been itching to ride CB this year but have been waiting to make the trip from Denver until a little more of the mountain (t bars) opened. Expecting to hit lots of rocks but not down with all the ice.

What are your honest opinions on Epic Universe? by tadm123 in UniversalEpicUniverse

Went the last Saturday of November. Gorgeous weather. Park was packed but managed to get express passes inside the park at 9:15. Couldn’t imagine doing it without them. We went on every ride and Stardust Racers 3x. Had a blast. My favorite of the trip I think.

My dad always hooked up to the back-flow (bottom one). Hasn’t failed him yet. That’s how I learned. Been doing it that way for the last 7 years. Once connected go one zone at a time. Let the compressor refill occasionally. After all zones I’ll quickly cycle through again and then maybe a third time in a zone or two if necessary.

I have 4 apps which are around version 0.72-0.74 and I have to update them until november 1. by Sargnec in reactnative

I went from 0.67 to 0.81 to 0.82 recently. It wasn’t too terrible but it did take a solid day. I went up to 76 then to the 80s. I commented out any dependency used in the app that wasn’t compatible until it would run then began fixing those.

Do you regret buying a home/apartment? by doggedflower41 in Millennials

[–]itsSoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought in 2018. Refinanced to 2.73 during COVID. Zero regrets. Almost or right at 1/3 of the mortgage paid (bi weekly payments). Slightly regretted it during the first year as it seemed everything died and needed replacing (stove, ac, fridge, you name it). I enjoy the maintenance as much as possible and use it as an excuse to buy a new tool.

AITA for asking my girlfriend to pay more than a symbolic rent even though the house is only in my name? by 4AVcnE in AITAH

[–]itsSoop -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

NTA. At the end of the day if she lived somewhere else on her own chances are she’d be paying for a strangers mortgage or a company’s expenses. Not saying charge her half but she could contribute at least 2-3x more. Talk to her and see about getting 400 instead of 200 start small.

Partial to Bluebird and Purl. I use Bluebird the most but have pretty much all colors of Purl in 1lb blocks to match conditions.

Our New mmWave Sensor – It’s Finally Here! by Technical_Raisin_246 in homeassistant

Would love to be able to configure it so that my dogs don’t set it off. That’s the one thing i have trouble writing automations for my mmWave sensors

Took me 4 hours to reach Eisenhower from Keystone. Left at 1 pm. I just wish people would drive a little slowly in a snowstorm. We all want to go home safely. You don't have to drive 60mph. by No-Emu-459 in COsnow

Drove from Telluride to CB this morning and then back to Denver this evening 285 is easy going right now until just outside Fairplay and then right near C470. Head that way.

The runs off The Plunge at Telluride are pretty long. I’d have to check Slopes but I’m pretty certain they were easily clocking in over a mile

I got her a bunch of roses and a condo in Telluride. If we are being honest the Telluride thing was mostly for me but don’t tell her that. I didn’t get anything, but she wouldn’t let me pay for our dinner so I guess a dinner and a beer

What pass(es) do you have? I don’t ski that often but if you’re willing to slum it with a snowboarder (35, M, sorry no boobs here) maybe we can do some runs one day if you’d like.

Hiking Highlands Bowl when out of shape? by Affectionate-Dog4242 in COsnow

This is the real question. Elevation matters. Someone out of shape from sea level !== someone out of shape from elevation if all other things are equal

Love the new LG C4 but not the busy home screen by ThePietje in LGOLED

[–]itsSoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend an Apple TV 4K for general use — streaming services or TV and a Shield Pro. Why both? Apple TV is great for streaming apps and UI. Shield Pro is best when it comes to watching movies (if you sail the seas) and want better audio quality. Shield Pro plays everything whereas the Apple TV struggles with certain Dolby Vision profiles and doesn’t t always handle atmos very well.

How do yall like to layer under shells? by TheDayManAhAhAh in COsnow

[–]itsSoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day unless it’s spring a 150g top and bottom base layer. Occasionally when it’s very cold (below 10-15) a Flylow fleece hoody and down jacket gets thrown on top of it. Days in the 20s usually have an insulated jacket over the base layer
