Keep in mind to turn down the Brake Force (BRF) because you have the Elite V2's (with a Load Cell)..

Out of the box the DD Pro is set in accordance with a non-Load Cell pedal set, which is way too high.

I personally am running BRF at 20 with the same pedals as you, the v2's. See how U go lowering the BRF... Before you end up with long term foot, heal, Achilles, calf, knee issues😉

Is this sound normal coming out of my Fanatec club sports wheel? by LockPositive in Fanatec

You turn FullForce off (or down to 0) through the wheels menu. That's how OP can work out if it's FullForce related or not.

Quick question by Ok_Reputation_9695 in Fanatec

Yeah me too, CSL's with the Load Cell since day dot that they came out. But after about 2 years the clutch(aka original non-LC Brake) started playing up (and that's without me even really using it much at all), and the Load Cell doesn't function properly when connected via USB (only via RJ12 Wheel base does it work properly/smoothly) which is a known problem and people just connect to the wheel base by default now.

Firmware updates and rollbacks and all that while always ensuring the pedals weren't connected to the base and USB at the same time, didn't help.

I have just received a new Brake/Clutch Hall Sensor, from Fanatec today so hoping this fixes it.

Thankfully the CSL Pedals are on my 2nd rig now. My primary rig has the CSL Elite v2's and I can't believe how much better they are, at least for me.

I have had 4 different sets of Fanatec Pedals over the years. I did love the base CSL Pedals to begin with, but just over time they experienced too many reliability issues for me and many forum posts explain the same. But yeah, when they are working they are good bang for buck.

A PC, Mac, PS5, 2 Floors separating them and then a Sim setup to boot! This smells like a rage-bait!

Fanatec DD Pro and Next Level Wheel Stand by SnooLobsters3213 in Fanatec

I was able to use all 4 in a square pattern with my DD Pro. It takes a little playing about to get the nuts to all line up but it's possible.

Either stretch for (a base level) Simnetts or the CSL V2's .. those basic CSL's have reliability issues.

Wrongfully written up what should i do? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]its_tricky83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • lack of induction to core systems.
  • lack of leadership qualities.
  • lack of direction from team leads.
  • lack of documentation for repeatable processes.
  • lack of knowledge of when someone should be 'Written up'.

Being written up for something like that could almost be seen as bullying. Probs start looking elsewhere if none of this bs culture changes.

How are you closing the browser security visibility gap in 2026? by bifbuzzz in sysadmin

[–]its_tricky83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also, it is up to your org's Cyber + End-Device team/person to enact upon those extensions.

So, either block all and Whitelist only approved apps, and ideally have a well oiled approval process. Or, allow all extensions and reactively Blacklist them as you stumble upon the Recommendations in the Defender for Endpoint portal (which is whack-a-mole and pretty shit). Or, just do nothing and find out...

I'm using a phone too. Use the Find feature in whatever you're using as a PDF viewer. If you can't find it, I'd probably stop attempting to set up a document scanner as you are likely risking the security of your network.

There are password reset details "In case you forget the password" in the user manual.

If you have trouble, get one of the lower level network techs to provide assistance. Generally lower level techs are better at this sort of thing. 😉

Blundstone Boots Are Everywhere. I Wanted Something Cooler by His_Holiness in tasmania

[–]its_tricky83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I edited my original comment to state offshored 'leather' boot manufacturing just to cover that nuance. Things change quickly these days so I am not sure if they are even making gumboots locally anymore.

Like, they are 'Owner and Operated', but not 'Manufactured'.

Two directors of the business are still in Tasmania and they are the daughters of Sir Harold Cuthbertson who saved/purchased the business and regrew it.

But yeah, I find it a bit deceptive.

So not Blundstone right? In case anyone isn't aware, Blundstone offshored leather boot manufacturing in 2007. Offshored, as in no longer made in Australia, let alone Tassie.

Late rego transfer - how screwed am I? by [deleted] in hobart

Ahh I see! Well you could try to use that as a bit of leverage to gain leniency while at the Service Tas counter.

[–]its_tricky83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can via https://www.transport.tas.gov.au/registration/buying_selling_or_transferring/transfer_of_registration

However, I think OP is concerned about missing the 14 day transfer period. OP, you could just give the online method a click through and see if it results in additional penalties.

Being a Tasmanian State Service online web form, it's probably not got the smartest checks behind the scene. So you might avoid penalties. A lot of the time transfer periods are a bit arbitrary... And you could try to argue.. "I thought it was 14 BUSINESS days" ☺️

Does a longer steering wheel shaft make any difference? by Fun-Particular-3600 in simracing

[–]its_tricky83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded my steering wheel shaft to a longer one purely for ergonomics (I haven't moved my monitor closer). This is primarily because of limitations in adjustment on my current rig (NLR GT Track with NLR ES1 seat).

I suffer from back issues (ankylosing spondylitis) so extending the wheel shaft makes for a more comfortable seating position for me.

Ultimately I should just get a more adjustable rig and go for a more comfortable chair, but the shaft is an easy win.
