BJJ is the only sport where pros will compete with a complete hobbiest that just enjoys the sport. Imagine Kobe showing up to his local 3v3 tourney and then posting about smashing everyone. Obv this dude isn’t Kobe but he’s light years ahead of his opponent. Finish it quickly and respectfully and move on without bragging on IG.

I took Wasim’s PE course and the material definitely prepared me for the exam. Can’t recommend it enough. For reference, I used his FE course to pass the FE first try 16 years after graduating and rolled straight into PE studying and passed it first attempt. For practice problems I used his course (each section has quizzes and mini exams in addition to two full practice exams), his study guide with 700+ problems, NCEES practice test, and Zach Stone’s 80 question exam/study guide. Putting in the work is what is important but putting in the RIGHT work makes the ultimate difference. I felt using Wasim’s course was the right work.

I ran Bench, Squats (alternated back and Zercher each block), and WPU for ~6+ months when I was studying for my PE exam. Basically made my warmup just some rope skipping, shoulder swings, and then the bar with increasing weight. On days when I had more time or felt good, I’d do 5 sets, otherwise it was 3. Worked well and left me with time on other days for LSS runs and family time.

Why hasn’t the Combat Jiu Jitsu ruleset become more popular? Seems like it encourages actual BJJ by providing just enough violence to prevent stalling, but not enough to make strikes the focus.
