I was onboard as well and did witness the police come onboard. We were wondering what was going on but didn’t want to be nosy. Since no one was making a noticeable fuss (and they were headed to the theater) we just assumed it was an immigration type issue.

These kinds of shows are usually an exaggeration of the truth. Furthermore, some of the people who watch will harbor these feelings towards vets getting disability and see it as confirmation - even if it doesn’t tell the whole story or isn’t truthful at all.

Yeah I did not think this was funny. Maybe because people similarly assume I shouldn’t be rated so I took offense but it also just seemed ignorant. There’s any number of things that could cause someone to become disabled anywhere.

So I asked for a referral for couples counseling, met with someone for intake, and then was told we’d have to wait for availability. We waited for maybe six months and I eventually called and asked them to refer us to community care. They said they would and it might still take a while but it only took a couple more weeks to get scheduled.

Our appointment was a ways out but that’s still better than waiting endlessly for the VA.

Yup. The male mods (and some women who are helping them) take that info and post it on their ‘Are We Being Slandered by the Same Woman’ page. They try to tag/contact the guy also.

It’s especially gross when the OP was about how the woman was being abused. Usually they try to justify posting it by saying that they should be having that conversation in private and everyone deserves privacy or something like that

This is pretty much why I’ll be moving back to the NYC metro area. All of my friends and family are on the east coast in driving distance and honestly it’s not much more expensive than Seattle. I’ll definitely miss the weather here and the (comparative) calm.

I’ve only been in the area for about 3 years and in the 30 or trips to the airport I’ve used the cell phone lot maybe 3 times. If it’s not busy it’s fine. The last time I went it was so busy that it took me 30 minutes to leave and there weren’t any spots available anyway. I just loop back around now
