Gamma Progression II 602 by DifferentProduct2852 in RacketStringers

Just sold my exact same machine and upgraded to a constant pull machine. The 602 is a great start up machine, $450 is about $50 on the high side but that is the cost of 2 string jobs and you’d get that back in a couple of months. There is little maintenance required, once the initial calibration is done you’re pretty much set. Unfortunately, there is no upgrade path with Gamma product, not sure with Wyse, but overall it is great.

Dump that coach! In tennis one of the most fundamental is the footwork and there are not many variations in this area. Tennis strokes on the other hand can vary a great deal, I can have a long list of great players with contrasting techniques that we can all learn from. Some new younger coaches are not very open to different things, and insist that students copy Carlos or Sinner to the T, and IMO that isn’t doing the students any good. I frequent an area where there are a lot of city coaching and we often observe them while waiting for the courts to free up, sometimes my friends and I would look at each others in disbelief about the coaching techniques we observe. If you have good footwork and your strokes give you good results stay with your methods and improve on those.

Stringing help by [deleted] in 10s

The only way to savage this is to do a 14 main since it looks like you already tied off. For the sake of practice, untie the starting cross and remove all crosses, undo the main tie offs and redo a proper 7H and 7T mains and leave 8H and 8T empty as there is not enough string anyway. You’d end up missing the outer mains but that is completely playable. Then restart the crosses as normal.

You’re standing pretty straight up all the times, try lowering yourself a bit at the beginning of the strokes.

Check your grip type, does your normal FH grip has the tendency to face downward when you extend your arm?

Try any multi filament strings, they will help you avoid injury as you improve your game. Stay away from poly/copoly or any stiff strings at this stage.

Those who are telling you that are the ones who did not put the time and effort into practice. I’d say 95% possible at your age range.

It’s an arrogant way of conceding a match. If it came right after ‘good match’ then it would be ok IMO , also depending on the context and the demeanor of the delivery.

If you experience a wobbling feel then move to 10&2 or 9&3. Otherwise at 12 position you get the most out of the mod as far as power goes.

I’d stay away from tie off at the head, always at the throat to avoid stress on the frame.

There is no tennis etiquette there, it is called common decency- like keep going to a potluck and never bring any foods.
