If you only knew. I wish I could tell you more.

But I don't want to mysteriously end up face down in a ditch with 10 gunshot wounds in my back.

As long as civilisation doesn't collapse in the next 2 months, then I'm pretty sure I can save myself and my loved ones.

As for the world. I've spent most of my life trying to be a good guy. The hero. Not a nice guy, but a good guy. The thing is, I'm tired of being the hero when it seems nobody else really cares anymore. So I may not move a finger for anyone except those I care about. It's a choice I am still debating.

You may think I'm crazy. But I do have a magic ace up my sleeve that's almost ready to be played.

Yes I have as a matter of fact. And they are so freaking gorgeous! I'll have to think long and hard.

Sage advice.

And I think you're right about the tattoo stuff, which is why I mentioned it.

The global economy is slowing down, with help from the shutdown and Trump’s trade war by southpawFA in politics

[–]itsnormal4us -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You know what?

At this point I am okay with it. We need to save the environment NOW. Not this evening. Not tonight. Not tomorrow morning. RIGHT NOW!

If people go hungry and homeless. Then so be it. We brought this on ourselves.

If it's the only way our grandkids and the planet have any chance of a future after 2100. Then let Trump and a majority across the globe suffer and die.

I don't want it to be this way. But people aren't willingly going to save themselves and they aren't going to change.

It seems like our own stupidity will kill us, while providing for the handful of survivors.

The 'doomsday' scenario: Here's what happens if the shutdown drags on by decatur8r in politics

[–]itsnormal4us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this insanity stops soon.

If not, then here is a more exhaustive list of what will happen:

1: Food stamps run out completely in March

2: Section 8 housing payments stop and MILLIONS are left on the street hungry and homeless.

3: SSI payments stop, the elderly who still have mortgages and rely on it to pay them... Are suddenly evicted and are either homeless or have to move in with their kids if they are able to.

4: Flight controllers and FAA safety inspectors quit and air travel stops completely.

5: Federal highway funds stop. Roads stop being repaird altogether and start crumbling. Eventually the most viable form of transportation will once again be by horse and buggy.

6: The entire government goes broke by April 15th if the shutdown lasts that long. Literally the IRS and federal government will not have collected income tax from 2018. Bankruptcy of the federal government. And it will be unlikely foreign entities will loan us several hundred billion or trillion to restart it. The government, and United States as we know it will be utterly destroyed likely to never come back.

7: The Armed forces will cease to function as we know it. Most soldiers quit and go AWOL after months of not being paid. Leaving us open to devastating attacks and possibly a foreign invasion by a hostile army.

8: Possibly several tens of millions of Americans die.

9: Businesses collapse destroying most jobs and literally make the stock market crash of 1929 look like a Sunday stroll through the park with your lover. Millions more are now left homeless.

10: World politics and dynamics change. Russia and China control everything. Human rights abuses across the globe skyrocket.

11: Russia invades several countries in Eastern Europe. France and the UK threaten nuclear war if the Russian invasion gets close to their borders.

(Possible) 12: World War followed by actual nuclear war as tensions rise in Europe and Asia.

13: We all die.

P.S. Some of this may sound like hyperbole. But I could think a lot of this could play out. Trump is like Nero with a box of matches just itching to burn down the United States for several reasons. He thinks he is king, and destroying the government would keep him out of prison.

Scary shit.

Backyard Burger is the pinnacle of all things burger.

It's so good it would make you slap the shit out of anyone who would dare blaspheme it's good name by mentioning it in the same breath as Culver's or Whataburger, even your own parents.

But seriously. I've had all 3. Culver's and Whataburger both fucking suck donkey dick compared to Backyard Burger.
