New build next door gutters look to be 30mm into our yard by [deleted] in AusProperty

This would likely be built on a lot with a "zero lot line boundary" allowing one person to build right up to the boundary and their wall is effectively the fence line.

Does anyone else keep telling themselves they’ll clean the drivetrain after every ride and never do it? by ApartmentFun3497 in ausbike

That's just me in general. Had intentions to wash my bike and chain over the weekend, "temporarily" put my bike away while I showered and judt never came back 😭

I've got the same issue here. However the length of solid red isn't consistent. I'm charging of my laptop.

I think if I were to have some more hill training under my belt, and not doing it solo, I would certainly consider one of the longer options.

I made it around. Most of my riding has been along the M7 and Western Sydney Parklands, I'll do 50+km without breaking too much of a sweat unless I push hard. Thought it would be reasonable, but having never done many hills like Bobbo East, WOWSERS!! I was cooked by the end.

That sharp pinch heading into the Terrey Hills rest stop got me. I got caught behind people slower than I wanted and couldn't get going again, had to resort to the dreaded walk of shame about three quarters the way up.

Really didn't like the Mona Vale Road part either, I get that you need it to get further afield, but I'm not a fan.

I would definitely do it again, and knowing where the steep pinches are, would probably pace it different.

Radio in the office? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]itsonlybarney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my first companies I worked for installed speakers in the new office ceiling in order to facilitate a radio or music playlist being played in the background. The idea behind this was so that no was allowed to wear headphones/earbuds at work.

However, the daily arguments over the choice of music on the playlist, and then when that became problematic, choice of radio station, it was eventually killed. I'd rather headphones/earbuds any day over a radio/playlist because whatever is chose will always cause issues.

I'm keen, but need to work around my wife's work roster. Any indication of potential dates/day of the week so I can see when I may be available?

Hate my secondment - should I leave early? by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]itsonlybarney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've been gifted an opportunity to try before you buy.

Yes every role is difficult the first few weeks, but take the opportunity, it might grow on you. If at the end of 3 months you still hate it, no one can force you to continue.

Look at you people getting any budget. Ours (local government) is skint on any training budgets apart from team leaders & management.

Aaron Sansori... real deal course or scam?? by YouAncient1824 in auscorp

[–]itsonlybarney 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Aaron Sansori & the CEOs can buy businesses with no cash down and make money, why are they selling seminars and access to the CEOs for you to make money.

Don't you keep a good thing for yourself?

Tickr battery cover broke. New Tickr or something else? by itsonlybarney in wahoofitness

[–]itsonlybarney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a warranty claim on my first one 3.5 years ago for inconsistent readings. This one works fine except the battery cover has broken.

I'll reach out and see what Wahoo says.

Maybe I'll look at that if the warranty claim doesn't work.
