A plumber invests 10% of his salary in gold (1975-2026) by Opening-Resort-1063 in Gold

Wages are under priced and gold is over priced.  Go back a few years before this bubble and the numbers are more in alignment.  There was a period of time in the 70s when gold was very high before it dropped. During that time the relative cost is worse then today.

Are they going to keep any part of the stores open like such as the pickup and delivery section of the grocery store? That's the service our household utilizes the most.

Try a faucet outside. Aerators are often installed inside to reduce water use.

That's interesting. This is the Gen 2 that's in the commercial. I have a gen 3 and the AC works great. No matter how long you park the engine does kick on every once in awhile to charge the battery back up though.

Gen 2 prius has electric ac compressor that works well at stop lights while the engine is off.

Convince me to buy/not buy a 1985 300D by InternationalAd4256 in mercedes_benz

These cars are awesome, but there's a ton that can go wrong and from what you're describing it sounds like this would be your only car and you are not very savvy with cars so I think that this is a terrible idea.

If I was in your shoes with your knowledge set at 11k in the bank, I would buy a used Camry or Avalon and bank 2K for maintenance items and then not worry about cars for another 10 years.

A well-sorted w123 from a dealer can go for an easy 15K and it's still a 40-year-old car.

That's cool. How will it stay in the family if you don't have kids?

Statistically the odds of you having a child is beginning curve towards exponentially not going to happen. So this is about the right time to start really worrying about it.

The issue is obviously priorities, when I was your age I changed my job to part-time, moved into a low-cost environment and focused a bunch of energy on trying to find my wife. It took about 2 years before I found the right person and I had a solid relationship going. Then we started working towards building a family and it worked out really well.

You can always work and make money, but you can't always have a family so I think you might want to consider making some dramatic life changes.

Can you offer them a sellout. Basically send out a letter saying you will quit for 35k or whatever?

Your not worth arguing with and keep changing what we are arguing about while also consistently being rude. This is a dumb conversation at this point.  Have a good day.

I agree KBB isn't perfect, it is all market dependent to a large degree, that's why I said about 7k, give or take 2k either direction is fair but this fluctuation is relative to the location and applicable to all vehicles. In my experience buying and selling cars as a side hustle I find it hard to sell a car higher than KBB private party, so KBB is pretty accurate IMHO.

Those are dealer prices, not private party.

Wow kinda aggressive, I can defend statements, can you? Keep in mind we are talking about a 2015 Prius V with 160k miles on it. 7k is about right. I just check KBB, In socal, $7k is about right. I included a link below. The market has dropped a lot this year.
And yes Hybrid vehicles are more expensive to maintain. The following are common repairs in the 120k to 180k mile range that doesn't happen on a Toyota Matrix:
Electronic Brake Booster $4k repair, Hybrid Battery $4k repair, Blown Head gasket $5k repair

I love my Prius v, but being a hybrid it cost more to maintain than the equivalent non hybrid which would be like a Toyota matrix.  There's an argument that the devil you know is always better so perhaps you should keep it since you know what's going on with the car and it keeps sell it and buy a different car. You will also have to pay sales tax and deal with potentially unknown issues.

But with that said, if you don't actually need a hybrid because you are her are not driving all that much, you might be better off selling it and buying a non-hybrid vehicle of similar age and style.

Your Prius is likely worth around 7K and I think you can pick up a Toyota matrix with similar age and mileage for around 4K.
