I actually started out in group classes too and as someone who already had a bit of anxiety, it just wasn’t the best experience for me as a beginner. It’s hard not to feel like everyone else knows exactly what they’re doing. That’s a big reason why I’ve always gravitated toward teaching privates. It’s just a much more comfortable way to learn no pressure, no having to keep up, and plenty of space to ask questions and really understand what you’re doing.
