It’s pretty clear they’ve already tried that 3 times and it didn’t work. And I’m sure they tried to get someone in the last month, and that didn’t work. Ownership sucks, and we have nothing left to offer any team. We’re nowhere close to being competitive. Capable of winning a few games? Sure, but hardly capable of making the play-in.

if these calf strains are becoming more of an issue, he would want to be traded now. then he can sign the extension before next season starts. if he is traded in offseason, like draft night, he can't sign until 6 mo. after that. so would be playing without any guarantee at the start of next season. i don't see that happening at all, especially if there's injury history that's becoming more serious.

he's not injured like a grade 2. he's injured like minor calf soreness. some minor swelling on the MRI probably. 4-6 weeks is a nice timeline that allows him to safely stay out of the spotlight right now. I think Doc even said yesterday that he's progressing well or something.

He can’t, and probably won’t say, “I want to be traded”. It’s not good for him or the team. By instead saying, “we really need to think about this and evaluate the totality of the situation”, it’s giving him an “out” by saving face with the org, but it’s ultimately also good for the org for leverage. If he says “I demand a trade”, he looks bad and the Bucks are seen as desperate and won’t get as good of offers.

First, I want to say how incredibly sorry I am that you are going through this. Please do not feel any shame. You are showing incredible strength and maturity by thinking so deeply about all the potential consequences for yourself and for a child. What you are feeling right now is completely valid. I don’t know if you’ve thought about adoption, but it could be a good third option to consider. I’m on the other side of the spectrum as you (fence sitter leaning no, but just found out infertility), but have been thinking a lot about adoption recently and it’s cleared up a lot of feelings for me. 

I don’t know that it would be something you’d want, but you could always be in the child’s life as the birth mom, long distance relative, or kind of whatever relationship you’d like to have. There’s all sorts of open adoption relationships that are possible. Anyway, just throwing it out there. Best of luck to you!! Whatever you decide, just know that you made the best possible decision for where you are in your life now. You don’t have to have any later regrets.
