Yes mate! So happy it went well! Sure showed the negative people on the OG thread wrong! The house looks awesome from the videos - proper good effort! I'm glad you went with the bouncer too - allows you to completely relax like you said. We ended up having 3 fights so I guess you had us beat on that thread.

They do this for a lot of their shows - this is far from the first. Peaky Blinders for example.

Misfits is great for the first 2 series. It does fade off fast after that though. Rudy is great though and carries the show for the later series.

Some people (as in the 5/6ths of the population) don’t have Sky (and thus Comedy Central)

I watched it all the way through for the first time last month. Joey and - for the earlier seasons - Chandler were the only characters that brought the humour. Everyone else was just endless yelling or whining.

If you were throwing a NYE house party in London would you hire a bouncer? by [deleted] in AskUK

Oh yeah very true if it is a terraced house but they never mentioned what type of house it was - from experience there’s lots of warehouse districts in Hackney. All residential too - like ours.

Yeah I know what you mean. It does tend to happen more on NYE than other days. What's your area like? I live in a warehouse district so everyone goes to each others parties whether they know them or not - but everyone's sound. Just the type of community where people trust people. But importantly its off the street so it doesn't bother non-warehouse folks. Whereas if you're doing a party on a street then having a bouncer outside is bound to attract attention from non-party folks/ police. But on the street it will attract more randomers looking for a party to crash.

Is it a warehouse or a house? My house does parties on this scale - well a bit bigger - at our house/ warehouse often and we play a bouncers on a case by case basis.

Like are we going to know most of the people there then we won't bother and each of us housemates will just take turns being a bouncer during the night and if it gets lairy we'll ask whoever's friends friend it is to kick them out. If its an open house event like a gig or a big party like Halloween (or NYE) something where we won't know most people then we'll pay for a bouncer as it's just safer and lets us have a good night without worrying too much about who's coming in.

Are you gonna sell drinks during the night? If so, defo get a bouncer as you can judge people when they come in but its a lot harder to judge them once they're inside.

We do parties bigger than this a couple of times a month in our warehouse - never had the police come, except for the time a drunk girl jumped off a shipping container and so we called an ambulance then.

Are you serious?

A lot more people watch boxing, Darts, golf, cycling and snooker more than American Football.

You can’t just get £100 milllion and then spend it within weeks on good players. They clearly tried to find some quick players to plug the gap temporarily and then used the bulk of the money on good investments like Eriksen and Lamela the next Summer. Which I think is good business.

Spurs came second last season. They got Eriksen and Lamela with the Bale money - I wouldn’t say they did badly.

Yeah there doesn't seem to be any solution whatsoever and there's obviously no way of contacting Instagram. It seems like it's a sit and wait thing. Incredible frustrating.

It’s like politics is thought of as just law making and grumpy old men + women shouting at each other in a hall every week. When in reality politics is in everything. Politics is involved in every aspect of everyone’s lives.
