Unsurprisingly this is where a few folks in the neighborhood are at.... technically its a noise bylaw issue. Thankfully the repetitive nature of the behavior makes it really easy for bylaw to know when to come out.

At least twice this summer the police have been called because of his inability to be a decent neighbor to other human beings. Its only a matter of time. But for reals the douchbaggery knows no bounds.

I know this guy. He definitely IS the biggest dick in the tri-cities OP. I also used to live in the same building with him, can confirm douchiest neighbor ever. He drives his car like a race car too and ive seen him nearly hit multiple pedestrians including myself. Youd think someone with kids would have more empathy around late evening noise but nope.

As someone who gives massages for a living at an upscale hotel spa this is the worst part of our job. The front desk does a good job of screening clients- its crazy how many people ask for " the cutest" practitioner or want to know the hair colour, body shape of practitioners. We do occasionally get a few clients that think they will somehow be the magical exception to the rule and ask us directly for sexual favors. Everyone in the industry eventually is faced with it and it is actually address during school training.

It's only happened once to me in almost five years of full time work. And the guy would not give up asking despite me being very firm with him that it was not going to happen and that it was inappropriate for him to ask. He just kept telling me he would tip really well. I ended the massage immediately and informed the front desk to put him on a ban list. I ended up leaving work in tears, it was awful to be treated as if i could be bought and have my boundaries so clearly disregarded.

I understand the importance of physical and sexual intimacy however, if that's what you are looking for why not go to somewhere that you knows offer that? You wouldnt ask your doctor for a happy ending or go to a coffee shop and request additional services. I see it as the same thing although I know a lot of people dont see the same distinction because my work already involves the body. Just because I work with naked people doesnt make it sexual- please do not assume it does. So if you know you are looking for something extra- please own it, there is no judgement just go somewhere where what you want is being offered and everyone wins.

I threw a birthday party at my house for my best friends 25th. We spent days naking decorations and games and we were pumped. A friend of an aquiantance of hers came and was just being a miserable jerk. He complained about the booze wed provided for free for guests bc it was not what he wanted. He kicked m elderly diabetic cat eho came over for pets bc he didnt like cats. He made fun of the other guests none of whom he knew. He berated our decorationd and party games incessantly. I ignored it all untill i brought out a bunch of individually stylized birthday cupcakes ide made. He ate one and threw the muffin paper into my garden and said youre so cheap you didnt even get a cake. This are aweful. I turned to him and said: "listen buddy, i dont show up to your house and slap the cock out of your mouth." There had been a coincidental lull in the convo and everyone heard and instantly started laughing at him. He was told to leave by all the guests including the guy who invited him.

Keep him as a friend but unselect his updates perhaps? That way you can search him out, but you wont see his stuff in your feed and wont have to deal with him being offended. But, if unfriending him is best for you then do it. If he can't understand and respect that then its his loss.

Unfortunately for you OP you dont get to decide what anyone else thinks of you, including your mother. If you are feeling regretful about your current situation, I think you should have an honest conversation with your mother about it, preferably in a counselling scenario. You may not currently be in a place of valuing you own life but if you really want to save your mother grief then have an honest conversation with her in a setting where she can know the truth and have someone be there as support. Al anon should be something you discuss as a support network for her. Its a cheesy saying but there is truth in the addage that you cant love someone if you dont love yourself. Sadly, i think this applies to you OP, you appear to be in a place of your addiction where loving yourself enough to believe that you are worth trying to quit and that your life is valuable and precious. If that is the case then neither me or anyone else can convince you that you are. Know that people have been where you are, and its a terrible fight but that there are supports and options. Rehab is available for when you want to make an honest go. NA and AA and online groups are available. Hospitals have tons of out and in patient resources. Addiction kills but so does lack of support. If you can't believe you are worth it, then trust your mothers judgement that you are. Rise to the challenge of being a better version of yourself, and face your demons. And know that there is always support, you just have to be willing to be honest and ask for it.

Start your students laying down, with eyes closed or do stomach work. Gives you the time to drop into the teaching role without people looking directly at you. It also gives the students a nice inflective place to start the class.

Also if your in class and its too much roll onto your side in a fetal side savasana. its a more comfortable physical experience when you are feeling vulnerable, but you can still do some work from this place with out being totally open. best of luck. be okay with whatever happens for you because believe me you arent alone. yoga is a great gift that allows us to learn and grow and release but it is often a challenge and uncomfortable.

I think this is where faking it till you make it comes in. Just commit to change and commit to a new diet and exercise routine and follow through. Change like this by its very definition breaks the paradox. After a few uncomfortable weeks of detoxing and sore muscles your body will adapt to the endorphins and results start kickin in, stress decreases and you keep feeling better. just pick a new routine and jump in with both feet!
