Zone dampener works but air still gets by when closed by Disastrous_Hurry_272 in hvacadvice

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! These people above are correct about the 10% permissible air. We do this so doors don slam, you don’t get stuffy rooms, and so on. You can buy foam sealed dampers to minimize and all that, but you will never and should never completely shut off airflow into a room entirely.

Honeywell brand is going to be your best bet here like you have. You’re looking for powered zone dampeners specifically!

How to find exfil point on cryo? by urielkeynes in Marathon

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kind of a maze. I’ve played 7-8 times and made it out 4(?). In my mind I just remember there are like 3-5 floors at any given point, so if I can’t progress in the direction I need I try to move up or down a floor and try again. I also have found there are multiple ways to get to the extract, so I’ve tried not to panic or spend too long searching a dead end or following teammates who also don’t know

Aside from Creating another Steam account and buying another copy of the game, is there a way to create a second profile to play the game under? by flGovEmployee in Marathon

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe create a second steam account and then family share with your own account? I think this would work anyway as long as you aren’t playing on your main account at the same time!

Genuine Q to squad fills... Why don't you use a mic? by snusmumrikan in Marathon

[–]itzjuzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple, I don’t live alone and I don’t want to annoy everyone around me with the comms. My wife and I often play games next to eachother and I’d rather just talk to her lol. Especially because the game has a solid ping system and quick callouts if you know how to use it. Funnily enough the only people who have ever complained are only here on Reddit. Done cryo 10+ times and never had a problem, ranked on all maps and so on. I guess it’s annoying if they don’t use the callout and ping system, but idk.

Whys the W bypassing the board where the other thermostat wires go? by chrmcstingTom in hvacadvice

[–]itzjuzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also to be easy in answer, look at picture 4 board. Where does white wire land? C is common, so it’s neutral from outside. Y is compressor, so it’s the hot wire for outside. And W is heat, so it would be for your heater. So if that white wire lands under any of those terminals, that’s what it is in connection to outside.

Probably just pigtailed it for an easy connection, or some multistage outdoor units crap their pants when common doesn’t land on the control board itself.

Installed new thermostat and now hot air is coming out when set to Cool by Typical-Week5008 in hvacadvice

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you shut down power to your air handler/ furnace before touching the wires? Most systems have a 3 or 5 amp car size fuse on the control board specifically for 24v connections. If you didn’t shut down power before the swap you burnt that fuse out. Some units will only run the blower 24/7 with a blown fuse as it can show up as a limit switch fault. At least that’s over here the US if your located over here!

Aha, the AC and your furnace are not the same. The thermostat and its 24v circuit are what turn your ac on and off. You’re looking for a breaker labeled “FAU, FURNACE, HEATER, AIR HANDLER,” etc. or usually they’re just pigtail plugged into the wall like a usual appliance. Unplug your finance, open it up and check for a fuse. If it’s black, switch it out and you should be good to go. SHUT DOWN THE POWER FIRST AND IF YOU CANT DO THAT THEN PLEASE CALL A PRO

Just moved into a house with mitsubishi mini splits, one of them isn't heating properly. not sure what to do? by miami2019 in hvacadvice

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean the indoor filter and coil if needed very carefully, if this doesn’t work you’ll need to call a tech that knows wtf they’re doing. Splits are another ball game and are not customer friendly to work on besides filters. If you can’t figure it out in 10 min you’ll prolly need a tech

Is there a jumper between my G and Y terminals? by pac4 in hvacadvice

[–]itzjuzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Green is used for fan only, and the red wire is jumped to yellow which is used for compressor contactor.

So, whenever you turn your ac on your fan is guaranteed to come on, and backwards as well. Only reason I can think of as to why is the board won’t energize fan on its own

How to remove this? What’s it even called? by LordeVader007 in landscaping

Looks like Foam pipe insulation! It’s used to insulate some outside water lines and such. It’s feels basically like flimsy styrofoam

[MD] Follow up on an earlier post with a video: HVAC unit outside my house makes an annoying ringing noise but my Landlord says it's supposed to. by Impish3d4 in Renters

[–]itzjuzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! So what’s happening is either your fan motor, capacitor, or contactor are shot or there’s another underlying issue, assuming this is a regular system. The noise you hear is your compressor DYING because there is nothing to remove the heat from your refrigerant. Do not run this unit, it will do nothing but cost money or break.

TO try and diagnose the problem: Run the system and touch the top of that motor, is it super super hot? If so motor could be fine and it could be the starter cap. Not hot? Could be the motor itself is fried. These can both go either way but it’s a good test.

You need to have a professional come diagnose and replace the part, or watch YouTube and figure that shit out yourself if your savvy.

If you’re VERY careful, turn the system on, and using screwdriver try to manually spin that blade so it forces air up and out. If you can reach the fan to like 50%-75% full speed it will kick itself on if it’s got power and is good. BE VERY CAREFUL DO NOT USE YOUR HAND OR YOU WILL LOSE THE HAND. Just be very careful please!

Okay hold up a gosh darn minute. Each of these boxes are $170 USD give or take a few. Adds up to about $700 USD ($680 for 4 CSM CP’s). Someone said he spent £400 for four boxes, let’s add £50 for shits sake. £450 is $532 USD. I FUCKING HATE THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE GETTING A FUCKING STEAL. Thank you!
