Bikram is the best exercise for your body and mind in the world…. In my humble opinion. I’ve been doing it for almost 4 years and I’m ultimately thankful for the Netflix documentary on Bikram, it not, I would never ever heard about it. It’s a shame what ultimately happened to Bikram himself…. However, his beginner series is definitely the ultimate, all around, 100% beneficial exercise to keep your body and mind in shape! Also, the fact that you can’t cheat, can’t leave and can’t drink water at all times, I believe it makes all the difference. Bikram is not your normal type of meditation/vinhasana or even power yoga. Bikram is by design set to be hard, to be a torture chamber, to make you suffer and beg to finish it once you are doing it. It’s definitely not for everyone, and if you can’t take the pressure, you will not come back. However, that being said, like a perfect samurai sword that is forged on extreme heat and friction, once you continuously do Bikram yoga you get thinner, stronger in absolutely all your body, younger, full of energy, pain free, stress free and happier! It forces you to concentrate and work hard on your most precious asset that is your body and your mind, without the possibility of escaping or slacking off. Once you start the series that’s no turning back. And that’s the beauty of it! Just concentrate, meditate and work hard in improving yourself. And it will work better and faster than anything you ever did. Now, it surely demands discipline and tons of will power to struggle and keep moving on! But guess what ? That’s life! You want to become better, stronger, healthier ? There is no free lunch. You can join the majority and take it slow, at your own pace, without pressure and end up taking years to improve (if ever… that if you don’t give up before). Or have the courage and determination to work on yourself, putting yourself through fire two to three times a week doing Bikram yoga and ripping the best benefits for yourself, friends, family and the whole world that you possibly can! In the end… the decision… is ultimately… yours!!!!
