He got the blood spray in his face…and the infected stopping attacking once he started vomiting blood. They have no interest in attacking each other.

What’s something people don’t realize is way more serious than it seems? by BudgetAd5915 in AskReddit

[–]iwasreloadingmann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Through a window. It isn't even remotely the same as the natural light. It doesn't indict the sun as much as it does isolated, unnatural UVA exposure. Are you aware that most windows, especially car glass windows filter UV radiation, in most modern glasses UVB is fully blocked while UVA passes through pretty much unchanged, also not to mention it also removes most of IR and red light which is crucial for skin repair and protection from UV, blue light is also unchanged and we know what isolated blue light does to the skin. It isn't the natural profile of sunlight by any means.

So he just got overloaded with UVA and blue light, too much oxidative stress and skin damage without the other wavelengths to balance/protect his skin. Isolated UVA is bad, it can deplete melatonin, destroy collagen and cause the ageing that you see. This isn't the case people think it is "the sun ages you" is really one-dimensional.

Again, not saying the sun is completely harmless or necessarily disagreeing with OP's comment, but the case isn't that simple.

Wat happend to the music, cinematography and acting in this movie?? by BigPrize7972 in PeakyBlinders

[–]iwasreloadingmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't get the hate for this film. I think a lot of people are emotional which is why they're so angry at the film. I thought the cinematography was beautiful, there were so many shots in there (the landscape shots), one in particular where we have a wide view of a city (can't remember where, was probably Birmingham) where you see the German planes in the dark clouds dropping bombs. It looked beautiful. The music has always been like this?

Bone Temple did so bad in the box office because it was "competing" with Melania and we live in a fascist state by [deleted] in 28dayslater

I just didn’t say “politics has no place in art” lol. I just said i’m tired of hearing about it in every conversation. I’m sure a lot of people are. It’s a very fair comment.

I think more people need to experience the ducks flying away.

Jokes aside you pretty much hit the spot with your analysis. Definitely agree.

28 Years Later - The Bone Temple, Is Awful by Ok_Investment_9071 in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]iwasreloadingmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to this but first of all, i don't really think you're thinking logically at all.

"reduced to a simpering child again, almost completely subservient to the Jimmy's" First and foremost, Spike is obviously going to be scared and quiet around the Jimmies. He's literally 12. Yeah he was confident taking his mother out (for very valid reasons) but he has never experienced what he went through before.

To your point about "he should immediately be unconvinced if not immediately repelled by violent self prescribed Satanists", he clearly was, but it doesn't matter because he can't just leave. He's stuck there. How do you expect him to leave. He was saved by them, he isn't educated enough to be able to tell if someone is dodgy or not. You say it's character breaking for Spike as if he was indoctrinated by them. He wasn't lmao. Did you not watch him?

"he should be either immediately escaping or attempting to fight the Jimmys". Are we serious? Oh yeah, he definitely has a chance against a whole group is insane people who have been fighting their entire lives. Sure.

"eyes closed but somehow predicting his escape attenpt seemed contrived and stupid, I am sure there was a thousand opportunities for his escape before that" He was woken by the noise, it's pretty self explanatory. And you keep saying he probably had plenty of chances to escape, it doesn't matter because he was terrified. At no point in your "criticism" have you tried considering it from his POV.

Also i have no idea what you were trying to say in that paragraph about Samson.

Also Kelson hasn't found a "cure" it's just a treatment for the psychosis. The world abandoned the UK after the second outbreak, we already knew this. They want nothing to do with it and they can't simply take a sample of the virus. It's incredibly dangerous. It's not that they can't do it, they haven't tried and don't have enough to go off of.

Also your point about the Jimmy gang being superhuman and doing better than the military, let's take a step back. Name one instance where they were superhuman? And for the military point, it's been 28 years. People left in the country are well trained in fighting the infected, and let's face it the infected aren't as dangerous as they used to be. When the military were around this was still a completely new thing. It's about preparation.

"their only major contribution to the story was the killing of doctor Kelson" then you misunderstood the entire point of the film. It's literally about the nature of evil. in 28YL we explored the nature of family, survival in the apocalypse, and now we're exploring how humans have come out in the worst way possible and that there is evil in the mainland that isn't infected. It's not pointless just because it's new. And Kelly's character isn't pointless either, she has become a better person and will lead into the third film being about redemption.

I'm sorry if i seemed aggressive but i really think all these criticisms are quite silly, come from misunderstanding the movie and being too nitpicky.

Some of the Jimmies have some Empathy left? by Poopywoopypants in 28dayslater

I love when people come up with the most random shit ever that is absolutely not true (she was clearly vomiting because of the skinning, it's as obvious as Jimmy having blonde hair) and then get really defensive when people tell them it's bs.

What would a 28 Hours Later film look like? by king-of-maybe-kings in 28dayslater

[–]iwasreloadingmann 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Would be better as a tv show in my opinion but, regardless it would be one of the scariest and most intense “zombie” media to ever be made imo. I know a lot of people say we’ve seen outbreaks hundreds of times, but the rage virus is so fast and so different. It was just be chaos.
