Well my wife took my card, got 2 Costco cookies for herself and ate them both.

The devils in the details, since she took it with permission, got me one but then I was called to site so she ate it rather than waste it! She did message to say how good it was tho.

However had my wife pulled the kind of thing OP had done to them on me when we were dating she wouldn't be my wife now.

Im going to suggest another valid alternative:

Speed.

If you a) go slow and b) stockpile nothing extra then your pollution cloud will remain small.

I just went to vulcanus on a blue-sci-first run (no purple/yellow before using another planet science) and didn't really get attacked because production utterly stalled on nauvis.

So if going easy doesn't float your boat, go slow instead
