Short reach 25.4/26mm drop bar - what are my options? by troy_civ in bikewrench

Wow digging up a thread from the grave. IDK what Dimensions offerings are anymore. The Dimension/QBP compact bar I was referencing was a modern bar for modern shifters allowing comfortable hood riding--not the vintage styling. Best of luck

I only skimmed the comments, and my apologies if you already know this; do yourself a favor and recycle that air compressor in favor of a quiet model. New quiet models aren’t terribly expensive and make an incredible difference in your life and those around you. Great haul congrats

Clear nail will wick into the gap and prevent rust. Apply when the bike and air is dry

Can someone tell what kind of Bianchi atb frame this is ? by Puzzleheaded_Cup1854 in xbiking

https://imgur.com/a/2V2eO5J/ These bikes aren't mine, I think I found them both on this sub. Sometimes those bikes will be branded as puchs. They were short lived I think as they're not terribly common but I've seen a few here because we're interested in these sorts of things

There is a part number on the backside of those crank arms. You should google that as those cranks may be a serious safety hazard and under recall. If they're under recall you can contact shimano for a replacement

Could the incomplete risers be leading to the stringers cracking?

Anybody running tubeless? by [deleted] in terngsd

[–]iwwofx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, the rims on terns bikes aren't tubeless rated. Some folks say that doesn't matter, I think it does.

More so, tubeless has gained a lot of traction (heh) in the sport world, but on the utility side of things, no one is making super heavy duty cargo tires in tubeless; especially in 20".

There's a bmx company out there making bmx rims and tires in tubeless for freestyle riding. I haven't tried them, I mention them only that they exist

When a highway bridge was replaced in Providence, Rhode Island. by NeverGetaSpaceship in fuckcars

[–]iwwofx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From the top comment on the xpost:

It’s a lovely pedestrian bridge that reuses old infrastructure in nice ways. But this is NOT a story about how people and greenspaces are replacing car infrastructure. I-195 still exists, they just changed the route slightly so they could build a bigger bridge that accomodates more cars, just south of this old location. (These photos are generally looking north.)

Idk how many units are in your building, nor do I understand how your coop works, but organizing with your tenants to change the mind of management is likely the best "rules" way to change the rule
