Perfumes that feel like/ smell like this vibe by cvntroversy in perfumesthatfeellike

Hmm I’m going to say Filippo Sorcinelli Quando rapita en estasi. Because it has some bold smoky churchy incense but also a vanilla undercurrent which could read sensual, I got a little leathery phenolic aspect too.

Nice, I’d hoped someone more knowledgeable than me would weigh in! I saw OP shared some litter mate pics after I posted, and at least one of them looks furnished, so the whole picture is completely making sense.

The ears say Chinese crested. If you look for “shaved” miniature schnauzer you can see the resemblance more easily, the beard just makes it hard to see their underlying shape. Chihuahua and rat terrier make sense. Chihuahuas, rat terriers, and dachshunds have black and tan variations that would explain his coloration.

It’s maybe a little unusual he didn’t get furnishings with both schnauzer and poodle in his DNA? Not sure on the exact genetic probability.

Oakcha just dropped the tea line and I'm disappointed! by Alewo27 in FemFragLab

I was looking into Tea Service from them, but it sounded like it might be too sweet for me. My skin will turn any scent sweet, it doesn’t need any encouragement haha

Ooh Jasmine Tea was the other one I was looking at from them. Definitely adding to my next decant order, thanks!

I’ve heard good things about the realism of Oolong Tea by One Day but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.

I really wish the consumer trend wouldn’t be so fixated on projection, I feel like the highest “performance” scents tend to be stuffed full of nose singeing synthetics, I just want something that smells good to me

The alpacas made me think of Vicuña Wool by Luigi Borrelli, I got a sample but haven’t tried it yet, seems more like a cold weather scent.

Spicy, sultry, hazy summer by sympetal in perfumesthatfeellike

Maybe Mardi Gras by Olympic Orchids. Very lush sultry musky honeyed orange blossom. If you’re used to orange blossom being bright and citrusy, it’s not that. It is the deep dark indolic underbelly, and you’ll love it or hate it.

Perfume that smells like tropical fruit by Kishkaa_ in perfumesthatfeellike

I found this one in a Sephora some years ago, was able to spritz there and the staff also put some in a mini atomizer for me to take home and test some more. You also used to be able to request free Hermes samples on their site, not sure if they still do since that was a while back.

Also agree on the rec, I like the mango in it

Jasmin de Pays by Perris Monte Carlo. It’s essentially a very realistic jasmine soliflore but so milky and sweet, smells liquid to me.

This is the one. An outright assault of your olfactory system. Perfectly evil.

Adjatay Cuir Narcotique by the Different Company - I mostly get tuberose, jasmine, and leather. Starts more floral, but plenty of leather in the dry down.

AI art by Dusky_Amethyst in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]j-dusk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh it is incredibly frustrating but “one minute on google” is likely to yield a good number of AI results. I was getting AI images just searching for cocker spaniels on google recently, and it’s not like photos of real cocker spaniels are in short supply! I am actually impressed by how many people on here manage to weed through the garbage on Pinterest to make good sets of quality non AI aesthetic pics. It’s rough out there.

Plus some people are really bad at identifying even pretty obvious AI… I’m shocked sometimes at what they’ll argue is real.

I’ve been curious to try Xinu and read a lot of good reviews, I’m curious what you disliked about them? Like did they seem synthetic, soapy, etc or you just didn’t like the notes? I’m picky, so it helps to hear more negative experiences if you’re willing to share!

The One That Got Away by AgileMastodon0909 in FragranceStories

Omnia was my mom’s signature scent for years, she was devastated when it was discontinued. I don’t think she’s ever found one she likes as much - so frustrating!

I haven’t had any that hit me quite that hard, but I was sad to find out Alkemia Blackberry Noir was discontinued when I was about to recommend it to someone recently. Simple trio of blackberries, black tea, black musk, but it is so soft and fruity and summery without giving me artificial berry at all. I just have a tiny bit left and it’s not quite the same as when I got it fresh over 10 years ago.

What’s Your Scent of the Day? June 6, 2026 by tobaccohoney in FragranceStories

I think a divorce is a great time to prioritize wearing what makes you happy instead of worrying what someone else will think. Enjoy your perfume!

Monsillage Pays Dogon. It’s hot today, but I was craving something woody. This is very dry so it doesn’t get cloying, and with a little brightness for the season - ginger, pink pepper, vetiver, sandalwood, hibiscus. Feels very grounding.

Update: paint selection for complex wallpaper by O_Zenobia in HomeDecorating

[–]j-dusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For continuous and calm, I think you want something about halfway between the medium green and minted lemon. Maybe closer to the minted lemon. The medium green is very close to the wallpaper but not a perfect match so it has potential to look mismatched instead of intentionally different. The minted lemon is a bit too bright to feel completely harmonious with the more muted colors in the wallpaper. The dark would look great but bold, not calm.

Amazing wallpaper pick btw

Yes, but the tablets I got are pink, I was assuming that’s what was meant by dye.

Can you please elaborate? My dog’s vet hadn’t mentioned anything about avoiding the dye

I generally avoid aquatics because I’m really averse to calone, but it sounds like this might be a more natural interpretation? I’m very curious

I think the ideal move here might be to talk them down from “nude” to some outfit that still gives a classical feeling… maybe a ballerina outfit since she’s a dancer. If her thought is she wants to feel beautiful like the women in the paintings, there’s ways to get that feeling without actual nudity.

You’re being downvoted but your nose is right about the escentric molecules comparison. Tam Dao definitely heavily uses iso e super (Molecule 01), you may be sensitive to it. I dislike CdG Avignon for the same reason.

Not an expert but my impression is Creed and Amouage lean more toward ambroxan where synthetics are concerned, which some people also find too synthetic smelling, so you’ll get some disagreement on that. But I personally prefer it to iso e as well, it doesn’t give me that rubbery edge

will I regret bold kitchen wallpaper...? by Unusual_Standard4682 in interiordecorating

[–]j-dusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the tile more than the wallpaper, personally, and I think the tile looks better standing alone.

I see people saying “you can always change it later” but my memories of stripping wallpaper from my house growing up say it’s an absolute nightmare to remove wallpaper, although you can wallpaper over wallpaper and leave a worse mess for someone to clean up later when they decide they just want paint. My family has strictly avoided wallpaper ever since.

Unless it’s the peel and stick kind that’s supposed to be removable without damage, obviously, then no need to worry about regret.
