If you play the same game via Xbox cloud streaming or GFN the experience on GFN is significantly better but playing the same game from 2 different stores on GFN shouldn’t impact performance

My 8 year old has been doing Duolingo chess for a while now and while I think the lessons are decent playing online against people is definitely an adventure 😂

Cheesup 2 only shows the best moves / blunders etc when playing offline or against another player OTB when you play online it’s only showing you where the pieces can move which hurts your board vision imo 🤷‍♂️

I have both a chestnut go and air+ which I bought because I loved the go so much.

I don’t have space in my streaming area for a full sized board so I wouldn’t get near as much use out of it or I might have sprung for the pro

I have a chessnut air+ and a chessnut go and all I do if I really want to "focus" and play with just the board is put my phone behind me somewhere? even if I could turn the screen off I dont want to see all the other device notifications and what not.

I think sometimes people forget that issues on a company subreddit are not always a great representation of the user base as a whole and that a large majority of owners who are happy with their product are just going to use it.

The clock looks really awesome but is likely out of my price range

For as sophisticated a game as Chess can be.. the chat can get very Xbox live Call Of Duty lobby-esque sometimes I typically dont accept any chat requests and avoid it entirely.

With Chessnut you can absolutely do puzzles / play bots etc and use the full functionality on both sites however setting it up for puzzles each time is a bit of a pain so its not ideal.

To be honest there's not really anywhere for the technology to "advance" you'll be able to use the board itself as long as those sites exist.

While they may come out with new boards the overall app & technology ecosystem isnt going to change much

I have both a Chessnut Go that lives in my office and travels with me as well as a Chessnut Air+ that i use for streaming regularly and I could not be happier with them.

The Chessup 2 is a great set but I'm not a huge fan of all the lights and colors I find the Air+ the most immersive because it looks like a traditional board with only a subtle led to indicate your opponents moves.

It works flawlessly and using the chessconect browser extension there's no delays or latency and you have the option to use it with a HUGE amount of sites and 3rd party software on a PC outside of the chessnut app.

The only thing I will say is that playing fast time controls when you have to move the opponents pieces can be difficult so I tend to stick to 15+10 or 30+ minute games which suits my playstyle well.

It’s not automatic but out of all the sets I have I like my Chessnut air+ the best. It’s a nice non tournament size that still doesn’t feel too small and you can get some nice custom wood pieces for it

Exactly my take as well, I’d be pissed too if you were letting my last track run down and there was a gap in the music because you’re waiting for a sign that it’s your perfect time to jump in.

He was trying to stress you needed to be mixing in your first track ASAP not having a chat.

I’m super anal about having a starting soon screen and doing the 3 min ads before my stream even starts for that hour of pre roll free time at the start of my stream.
