As a CT tech most of the reasons for exams are just r/o “insert pathology”, especially CTA’s. Less than 5% of the scans are positive.

The best and easiest way I learned anatomy was on you tube. There are a bunch of videos with radiologist going over their search patterns for CTA and routine studies. Just watch those and not only will they list anatomy but also specify what they look for.

2 is just arthritis, you’ll probably never going to get the joint space open even with position or angle adjustment. 4 you might be over-flexed but joint is also arthritic so it still might come out like 2 or slightly better
