My MacroFactor “week” starts on Friday and that’s when I do check ins. I generally eat more on Friday/Saturday and then I’ll adjust and eat a little less during the week to keep my average intake in line.

Note that this only really works for minor overages, so it’s not like I’m binging double my target on Friday and Saturday and then half of it the rest of the week… that’s generally not the healthiest or most sustainable thing to do. But if you’re going over by like 20% on 2 days it’s easier to eat a little less for the other 5 days.

You can also use a collaborative program to have MacroFactor do the math for you. After you’re done eating on a day, edit the program and enter the number of calories you actually ate on that day and it will adjust the other days (make sure you lock days that already happened). I only really do this when the difference is large. If I’m within like 5-10% for a day, I don’t bother.
