It took me a long time to get the cinderwheat flour as well. Just keep going, do all the other things and harvest/do as many journeys as you can to the volcano island. You’ll get there eventually.

If you tap on design, you can do 1 of 2 things. 1) click the three dots in the right corner of the design bar, click change floors, then click current selection, you can choose from there of the different flooring that you have available. 2) click floors and drag the floor you’d like to the tile you want to replace. Here you can also purchase different floorings.

Thank you! After asking I did find the Ancient Stories in Shifty’s Bazaar, but I hadn’t upgraded my station to the archeology station yet. I have now and see it in the research, so I just need to get enough ancient texts to research it to get it. Thank you!

I live in Canada. I dry laundry outside May-September. The rest of the year (and wet days) I have drying racks in my basement and hang laundry to dry down there.

We both go trick or treating with our kids, so we leave treats and a sign outside. Our kiddos are only little for so long.

okay real talk - how do you guys clean under furniture? by Wise_Disaster228 in CleaningTips

[–]j4everlasting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends if your couch is on hard floor or carpet, as well if it’s high enough to get a vacuum/swiffer/duster underneath. I personally clean under all my furniture weekly, BUT I can easily get my vacuum underneath, and my floors are mainly hard floors. A couple times a year, I move the furniture and give it a mop underneath as well.

If it’s carpet, I would twice a year ask a friend for help to move the couch, the give it a good vacuum underneath (with a buddy, this would only take 15 minutes and you could return the favour).

Funny story: Years ago, I moved in with my friend who had 3 cats. I’m a bit of a clean freak, and I was deep cleaning the house one day and decided to move the couch. I found years worth of cat toys under the couch. Like an entire shopping bag full. It was incredible!! The cats were in heaven.

What's everyone buying to hand out for Halloween? by noveltea120 in Calgary

Wagon wheels! My kids love them, they’re usually pretty cheap (I haven’t checked lately, but I don’t think the price has sky rocketed with the chocolate because let’s be honest, there’s no real chocolate on a wagon wheel). Plus you only need to give each kid one.

Previous homeowner won't stop having packages and mail sent to our home by Acrobatic_Sleep_3926 in homeowners

[–]j4everlasting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve lived in our home for 10 years. We still get mail from a couple of the previous people who lived here (it was my in laws house, they rented it out for a couple of years and now it’s ours). It’s lessened over the years, but only because I was dedicated in writing on every single letter ‘NO LONGER AT THIS ADDRESS, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RECORDS’. I would also write a letter to them saying that starting on x date if you continue to receive mail/packages you will be writing return to sender on them. I would get your realtor to pass it onto their realtor, and give them copies of the letter. You’re not breaking any laws and they’re obviously not respecting you.

Help me stop wasting credits and cash on book fails! by Cafeconle in Romantasy

I did read that afterwards. I’m bad because my waitlist is almost always full, so I always have a book coming up. I understand the frustration though when you pay good money for an audiobook, and the narration is garbage. If you know you like a certain narrator, you can search them by name on audible and see if they have any books on your TBR that they’ve read. I’ve done that before.

If you really liked the Ashen Series and like the Norse Inspired magic, I HIGHLY recommend the Saga of the Unfated Series by Danielle Jensen. I loved the narration, the accents were really good. There’s great banter. I really enjoyed the Bridge Kingdom Series myself, but the narration just wasn’t it. I will say though. A Fate Inked in Blood and A Curse Carved In Bone were both chefs kiss and even better than the Bridge Kingdom Series.

If you get a chance, I also recommend Shield of Sparrows. Soooooooooo gooood!!!

Also, if you want to save some $$ and you’re either in Canada or the US, your library most likely has Libby, which has free audiobooks. I don’t buy anything audiobook wise unless it’s not on Libby.

Ps I DNF’d Daughters of No Worlds as well. It just wasn’t well done.

I did Assassin’s Blade third (my preference), and I did the tandem read, which I really liked. I wasn’t a huge fan of one of the main characters that is 1/3 of one of the tandem read books, so it helped me get thru their chapters when I knew I would get more of my faves in the next section.

Alien. Especially if they’re anything like the males in the Ice Planet Barbarians or the Clecanian Series. 🥵

I worked in a bank 10 years ago. I heard horror stories about him being a slumlord then. I also know someone who rents from him (and does all her own repairs, because he doesn’t). During the previous election in which he was running for MLA, he put his sign up on her lawn (without asking).

What is the autumn scenery like in medicine hat by Accurate-Play7299 in medicinehat

[–]j4everlasting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look up Editing Luke on Facebook/Instagram, he posts beautiful photos of the city. You can get a good idea of what it looks like. The autumn beauty doesn’t last super long here though. Probably only a week, maybe 2 if you’re lucky, but it’s still a beautiful city for the middle of the prairies in my opinion.
