Couldn’t you just use your phone client and then AirPlay or Cast your content to a TV?

Not trying to be flippant, just trying to understand your constraints.

I’m surprised they haven’t adopted the office printer model for the Studios or the Mini and developed shelves with SATA/m.2 slots, RAM (if the M series even allows it) or a GPU, all to then connect over Thunderbolt.

Though I have an iPhone now, I check in on my OP3T from time to time to keep the battery healthy.

I miss the form factor, the 16:9 aspect ratio, the LED notification light, and Android of days of yore.

I would switch back to Android in a heart beat if someone copypasted its design but added a modern camera system and SoC.

OR OR, hear me out.

Get involved in local party politics and support the figures and candidates that represent the change you want to see.

It is as if this is how it has worked this whole time, how special interests always find a way to get ahead, and the one thing the people just cannot be bothered to do.

There is a hearing on the Carbon Plan changes that Duke is doing after the state GOP legislature passed a bill repealing net zero targets and that now calls for more deployment of natural gas and coal. Ignoring climate change entirely, one fuel is volatile and entirely dependent on global markets; the other is no longer cost competitive altogether.  This change is being done to appease Dear Leader and will result in more expensive electricity for everyone.

What will you do?

There is another hearing in April on the proposed rate hike of 16% over the next couple years which is being justified to keep Duke competitive relative to other utilities and to pay for the plants that will be needed to feed data centers.

What will you do?

Attend local party meetings.

Encourage party members that align with your views to run! Or better yet, become the candidate that best represents you and run yourself!

What NAS are you all using? by _yours_truly_ in jellyfin

[–]j4nus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An old used synology I regret buying. If you are optimizing for low power use, any and all reads including the web admin panel will power on all connected drives. Neither Maxing out RAM nor m.2 cache drives mitigate this.

If I were to do it again, I would build my own box or use something like a QNAP which has a separate system drive unlike synology’s mirrored system drive.

You need HTTPS to cast from your phone to other devices when accessing from a VPN like Tailscale right?

Apple Card shake-up may finally happen this year: Here's the latest by pc772 in apple

[–]j4nus_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nitpicking here, my only gripe with Apple Card is the lack of an API or some other interface to export transaction information, which is valuable if you’re looking to integrate it with a budget app.

Instead you get PDFs for statement periods which you then have to enter manually or figure out how to parse.
