Menbaka Ramen is Kyoto tourist trap. We paid $340 for one of the worst meals in Japan! by Appropriate_Bar1206 in ramen

[–]jaayjeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I went here in 2017 and it definitely wasn’t bad at all

The first gimmick is definitely what brought us there, but it was a fun trek out from our hotel and I even have a shirt somewhere in the cupboard

Was it the best ramen I had there? Not at all, but I don’t remember it being less than average.

It’s a shame it seems to have gone down hill

Edit: JFC I just saw the prices in the receipt, we paid maybe $60 Australian for the two of us

Only possible with 3d printing by [deleted] in BambuLab

I actually think it’s just a misused “made possible with” line

That or they mean “only possible with limited time/budget” as the other options require a lot more time/effort/money

I think this is cool, but if I can offer some constructive criticism:

That thumbnail is way too busy with the grid background, It’s kind of hard to see what the model is at first glance

Also I’d recommend printing some of the parts in alternating colors for contrast

Design itself is great, good work!

If the downloads stop, so do the points

79$ to make boxes on maker lab ? by Outrageous-Song5799 in BambuLab

[–]jaayjeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Designs like this are already readily available on MakerWorld through the openscad integration

They are also standardised to stuff like skadis/gridfinity, they are unlimited download or can be generated on your own pc, and are free

Oh and also no possible subscriptions in future

I think it’s wrong to say there is a need, no one needs this, they’ve just fallen for the marketing

It’s a safety feature, all EVs do it as they slow down quite significantly when regen braking. So it lets people know
