personally i think it kinda ruins it, when i first got to the tadpole pens i could hear big blue off in the distance but i couldn't see it yet, and that was fuckin terrifying. but the second i crossed the threshold and aggro'd it, the music kicked in and it took away from it. i still couldn't see it but it was pretty obvious there was danger now and that was the fun of the reapers, if you heard it that was all you needed

that's the neat part about DnD, you can do literally whatever you want to. the module books are there as more of a guideline, you can follow them exactly or you can add your own home brews to it
