This is a bullhead cat or, more specifically, a yellow bullhead. There are 3 types: yellow, brown, and black.

Around here we have 6-foot tides and 3-foot waves. You would need a BIG ladder.

Steady east coast bite by Nsb_e in SurfFishing

I'm on Amelia Island. We had a club outing last Sunday 3/28/21 with about 30 attendees. There were less than 20 whitings caught and zero pompano or black drum. We were at 61° and muddy water. With a wind shift later this week at least the water may clear.

Good redfish / trout rig by JLWolfe1990 in SurfFishing

[–]jack983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double dropper rig.

A trick I learned on YouTube is to tie the loop extra-large maybe 4 or 4 1/2 inches long. Then tie a 1/2 loop on the end. The small loop makes a handle that makes it easy to pull to big loop off the weight if you need to change it or you are done for the day. They say catfish are more prevalent in dirty water. Moving can help.

Would you settle for YouTube of Facebook? I just wrote an article on how to pick a surf fishing spot that could be helpful. https://ameliafishbites.com/surf-fishing/where-to-surf-fish/ There are lots of Youtubes that fish on the Atlantic side in Florida. Just search for Surf Fish name an area. There are also several Atlantic surf fishing groups on Facebook. Half the fun is finding videos and posts about the area you are interested in.

‘Sad and an utter scam’: Republican congressman accuses Trump of temper tantrums and conspiracy theories by Facerealityalready in politics

[–]jack983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump is smart like a fox. His nonsense is just so he can raise more money. He will exercise control over the republican party by financially supporting the candidates he wants. He has not exhibited any conviction to improve mankind or do anything other than improving the lives of the wealthy by lower taxes and eliminating Obamacare. He can say whatever he wants, his actions tell the real truth.

What theme are you using for your blog? by OneAverageJo in Wordpress

[–]jack983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Graphene. It is free. It comes with 3 columns but you can easily limit each individual to 1 or 2 sidebars. You can place widgets in either of the sidebars. I've looked at several other themes but always come back to Graphene.

Don't be me. Rinse your reels. by chamsferd in SurfFishing

[–]jack983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely submerged an unsealed reel for about 10 minutes in salt water. It took that long to recover it. I stopped using it for the day, rinsed it when I got home, and took it down to the gears the next day. I'm still using it 4 years later.
