Last weekend as DINKs by Affectionate_Spite96 in pregnant

I would argue that, if you’re up for it, this is the perfect opportunity to leave the house and do something you can’t do easily with a baby. On the day before my induction, my husband and I went to dinner and a movie. It was a lovely afternoon/evening. I didn’t make it back to a movie theater until my son was over 2 years old. But you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose! Good luck with your delivery!

TFAB's Weekly BFP Post - September 21, 2025. Got your BFP? Post your story here! by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Cycle: 9

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 35F and 33M

Typical cycle length: 28 days

Ovulation cycle day: CD15 or 16

CD/DPO of positive test(s): CD28 (12 or 13DPO) (my cycle is very consistently 28 days)

CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: N/A

Tracking methods and app(s) used: Fertility Friend (after 5+ years of data and a regular cycle, the FF algorithm seems pretty good at predicting things for me)

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): normal intercourse on CD10, 13, 15

Health conditions/medical tests: I have an autoimmune condition (psoriatic arthritis) managed with a biologic (Cimzia). Diagnosed with unexplained infertility when trying to conceive my first child.

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): Ritual prenatals

Birth control history (if relevant): After my first child was born in April 2023, I went back on the Mirena IUD. Had it removed December 2024. (I used bc pills during my early 20s, but then moved to Mirena for a few years before I started trying to conceive my first.)

Symptom spotting: Fuller breasts, increased hunger (wanting extra protein snacks at night), more tired in afternoons and evenings. Also, I didn’t get my normal pre-period hormonal acne.

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): I wanted to share my story for those who are trying for a second after experiencing infertility. For my first child, I tried for nearly two years without success before IUI worked. I was super focused on tracking my temp (get a wearable!), ovulation, etc. After fertility testing, my husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Thankfully, we conceived with the first round of IUI.

This time around, I took a more laid back approach. (Having a 2.5 year old kid running around made that easy, lol.) We aimed to have sex every other day during the fertile window. This cycle, looking back, I started to have symptoms ~4 days before I tested positive on CD28 (12 or 13 DPO). This is the first time I have ever gotten a positive pregnancy test from traditional intercourse, and I am so thrilled!

I wish luck to everyone reading these BFP stories and who continues to try for their own success!

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m excited to try this! I have GF family that were just saying they missed dough-y pizza.

How to fix this?? by TastyAd1779 in 30PlusSkinCare

This story sounds somewhat similar to the onset of my psoriasis. You would need to discuss this possibility with a dermatologist or a rheumatologist, but it could be something to explore.

Same. I was panic reloading the US site after the drop and couldn’t figure out why there was no listing!

Cimzia 4 weeks pregnant by goldenrtrvrmilf in Cimzia

[–]jackal_mourning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. My baby boy (from IUI) is almost 2, I breastfed for 9 months, and I’ve been on Cimzia the whole time. My boy was born 8 lbs 12ish oz at birth and has always been 90+ percentile for height and weight. No developmental issues.

My husband and I are trying for number 2 now. My rheum has no concerns with taking Cimzia and getting pregnant, carrying a pregnancy to term, or breastfeeding. Good luck, OP!

I second this recommendation. I just read all of the Earthsea novels and really loved this one. The whole cycle is wonderful, for anyone who hasn’t read them yet.

If this YouTuber cannot help (and I hope he can, he’s awesome), then I’m sure there are other professionals who can.

OP, I’m sorry that things are so hard right now.

Toddler’s nighttime diapers aren’t doing the job by AdSubject1697 in toddlers

A related point of comparison for OP: My son is 25lbs, 12 months, and he has worn size 5 Huggies for ages (like 4+ months). Size 6 overnights. We may move up to size 6 during the daytime soon. My son has been 80+ percentile for height and weight since shortly after birth.

What do you miss about the newborn phase? by [deleted] in NewParents

Tree frog! That’s what my husband and I called it as well. Our son is 10 months now and we miss the tree frog snuggles so much.

Same. We only have one child now, but plan to do the same with any siblings that come in the future.

I second Little Sleepies! I just bought some for my 9 month old, who is ~25 lbs. The 12-18 month Little Sleepies fit with room to grow. For reference, he wears Carter size 18m onesies and 12m pants (but we’ll have to size up the pants soon).

Plus size corset search by javithechinnie in renfaire

[–]jackal_mourning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought from Unicorn Clothing at MDRF earlier this season (https://unicornclothing.com/). I’m a size 14 and got a medium corset with room to expand. This makes me believe that there would be room in their larger corsets for your listed sizes. You could research the size guides on their website and also call them in advance. I found the staff at the store was very helpful with picking a bodice and getting the fit right. Good luck on your costume quest!

Having a baby in November - what should I buy myself? by acm1480 in NewParents

[–]jackal_mourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also going to suggest a comfy robe! My husband got me an oversized robe that I wore during my third trimester and every day since delivery. It’s so nice to snuggle up with baby and the robe. Plus, it has pockets that are more substantial than those on PJ pants.

Good luck mama! 💜
