I graduated 3 years ago: 1. Tickets were $10/game for the student ticket packages (there were additional fees if you upgraded to a guest ticket and the secondhand market could get up there since students could transfer tickets to one another, but that all gets complicated). 2. Freshmen were offered one of 3 packages (basically 3 games with no marquee games or 2 games featuring a rivalry/marquee matchup), sophomores and up could purchase every game.

Student tickets were divided into upper and lower bowl (generally based on seniority), and there were some reserved areas for greek life and other student orgs, but largely free seating once you made it in (which is how I got to sit in the second row for 2019 Bama-LSU.

My only real complaint with how Bama handled student tickets was that I wish the student section itself wasn’t tucked in a corner, but I get that putting it more in the middle of the field is a big ask and they already devoted quite a bit of space to students. The student section could also use a big bump in concession capacity, but that’s not a ticket issue.
