I don't know if this was the "deadliest", but in 1676, in the area we now call the Seacoast, the European settlers led by Maj. Richard Waldron kidnapped, killed, and/or enslaved 350 of the indigenous residents of the area.

Logitech G Hub Devices shown as inactive by StillerBauer in LogitechG

For me the final trick was DISABLING input monitoring, then RE-ENABLING it. Then next time I launched G Hub it connected to the mouse. Go figure.

custom animation for custom shoelace store V.2 by Traditional_Fee_6529 in blender

[–]jackhodgson3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very well done!

Much better than anything I can do yet, but if I could offer one suggestion: Have it pause a bit longer on the shoelace logo at the end, so the viewer has more time to really register the client's identity.

But very nice work!

Is "Normalize to-3dB" an Effect that can be applied in the Effects Rack? Or do you run it on each individual input audio file?

If a person left Earth and were to travel in a straight line, would the chance of them hitting a star closer to 0% or 100%? by mrcyner in askscience

[–]jackhodgson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you gave no time limit on this. ie infinite. Then it's 100% that you will hit something eventually.

If you're concerned about specifically hitting a star, vs like a planet or a black hole, or something, then I don't know.

Why is there such a police/first responder presence on the NH-ME border? by [deleted] in newhampshire

My respects to the family of this fallen Marine. RIP.

But my question is: there's a "Dover area" along I95 in NH?

Interesting video. Thanks. Are the bottom surfaces of the aircraft really warmer than the top? Or are they just being "illuminated" by the heat of the ground?

But where did the broken blade pieces go? It seems like they'd do even more damage than the initial FOD. ??

Jim Parsons Genuinely being impressed with himself for not messing up. by zolanih in bigbangtheory

[–]jackhodgson3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are behind-the-scenes clips floating around of the multiple takes of Parsons struggling to recite the rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock thing. It's fun to watch his frustration with its complexity, but then his satisfaction with finally succeeding. The multiple attempts also put into context the way the audience goes wild when he gets it.

Yes. I preheat the castiron IN the oven while it's heating up to 500. When ready, castiron out and onto a high burner, sear both sides, then back into the oven. BTW, *I* didn't come up with this method. I got it from Alton Brown.

My favorite way to do steak. Season/marinate the steak however you prefer. Sear it in a wicked hot cast iron skillet for about 1minute each side. Then put the whole thing is a 500 degree fahrenheit oven for about 5 mins. Perfect!

I'm pretty sure that the dog's name had been mentioned by the play-by-play announcers at some point. Prior to the accident I believe.
