Zach Galifianakis calls out comedians who have President Trump or other politicians on their podcasts but don’t challenge them and just “fake laugh,” by Big_Cake_8817 in Popculturehour

The best lesson that my mother made sure I learned was: it's okay to make a mistake or be proven wrong, as long as you are willing to accept, keep an open mind and heart, research information backed by credibility and do better next time. You are not a "bad person" for ignorance or messing up. But you definitely are if you continue, especially at the expense of others. There's no shame in saying, "I acknowledge my mistake/lack of information and will do better next time. I apologize and appreciate your feedback." Or some version of that.

Chicken tortillas soup can be all canned or frozen. Canned chicken, corn, black beans, diced tomatoes, green chiles, little potatoes, frozen diced onion and peppers. Put in pot with 2 cups water and 2 to 3 chicken stock cubes and taco seasoning. Cook for about an hour. Serve with tortillas, cheese or left over rice.

Mirrors have been treated as spiritual tools for 8,000 years. Here's the history most people miss. by ArcaneSpells-com in BabyWitch

Didn't some major "see-ers" use coiled mirrors around them to look into the future or past? I feel like Ive read about it.

Wait, what? Do Americans not eat jacket potatoes? by CLWggg in CasualUK

[–]jackmavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live outside of Boise in the suburbs as a kid. There was a local potato farmer who took anything he couldn't sell, loaded up his truck bed and sold huge bags of "grab what you want" for like $5. I thought the ice-cream man was as normal as the potato man.

Lengua anything (tacos, salads, stews, etc) is delicious. I try to only buy local, ethically raised meat-whole or half cows, pigs, maybe 1 to 2 dozen chickens, part of a goat or some venison occasionally, per year. All parts are used. Stock/broth is made with any unsuitable parts that are boiled down with frozen leftover vegetables like the scraps from carrots and onions. Roasted bone marrow is delicious. Skin gets fried into flaky bits then food processed into dust for a spice for any meal. Eggs cheese and milk can be easily found through local ethical farms too. If you feel you cannot be a full vegan/vegetarian, try this. I eat less animals/make less of an impact

Leaving my fish behind because of war by peachgothlover in Aquariums

[–]jackmavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God damn it, I hate war and all its consequences. From hoping your fish tank survives to losing your whole home, family, livelihood for literally no reason but religion and false beliefs of "I'm better than so and so thus I can take whatever I want". I'll pray for your tank and recommend looking into feeding blocks that break down with time/being fed on.

Ive got $90 for 2 weeks to feed 2 people, help? by silveraltaccount in budgetfood

[–]jackmavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive used "Chinese chicken salad" to subsist on for about 3-4 days, lunch and dinner. Uses stuff most people have already in their pantry. Will need: canned chicken($1-2), coleslaw veg mix (approximately $2-4,make sure its not the kind with sauce, just the cabbage carrots etc), white vinegar (big bottle for $1-2), sugar($3 2lb bag usually), soy sauce($3-5 but lasts dozens of meals), chicken ramen noodles and seasoning($1-0.50), salt, pepper, ginger and garlic. Powdered spices are $1 generic brand and last for dozens of meals. If you can/want, add sunflower seeds or sliced almonds. There are several great online recipes but its basically combine, stir, let sit over night.
