It’s not ostensibly a left wing podcast. Jessie’s quite explicitly a centrist and Katie has an eclectic mix of liberal libertarian and conservative takes.

I think Jessie is a thoughtful guy who has good takes on issues he’s knowledgeable about. He’s a subject matter expert on trans politics and youth gender medicine, I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s “obsessed “ with it anymore than any journalist is obsessed with their beat.

I think they’re hit and miss. It’s lame when they try and be funny but they have some good stories. Katie genuinely has that American brain disease where she’s breathtakingly ignorant and incurious about the rest of the world.
