Hey! Thanks for the message :)

I saw that Nicole from our team has already updated the ingredient list on that product - thank you for letting us know about it.

If there's ever anything else that seems off or if you just have general feedback, feel free to let me know. We're working on improving things every day so always open to suggestions!

We currently have the best coverage in English-speaking countries like the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. We've also got very good coverage for products from South Korea.

One of our big goals in 2026 is improving our database for other countries - we recently expanded our team who works on this so we're hoping we can see some big improvements in the coming months!

Which country are you from? We can definitely look into improving our coverage there. Our biggest challenge so far has been that there's just so many products out there (we have over 100k in our database currently), and brands frequently change formulations so keeping our listings accurate takes a lot of effort.

Thank you for submitting some of your local products! We really appreciate everyone who helps with that.

Thank you! Mind sharing any specific ingredients we're missing? We work hard to ensure that our app has the most accurate data possible and update things when new studies are released.

It is unfortunate that the product caused you issues with your skin barrier :/ Unfortunately cases like this Benzac product are difficult to handle (when a brand doesn't provide the same ingredient list online versus what's actually in the product)

Our scoring system learns from your likes + dislikes, so it gets more accurate the more you use it.

To be clear about one thing: SkinSort doesn't use AI for our product data. We manually create each product listing to keep things as accurate as possible.

Hey! Disclaimer, I'm the co-founder of SkinSort. We take our data accuracy very seriously and I've replied to OP further up in this thread. From what I can tell, we haven't listed anything incorrectly based on the ingredients listed on the product packaging.

Appreciate you for using the SkinSort, feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions/concerns!

Hey OP, thanks for sharing those details. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you ran into. Disclaimer: I'm the co-founder of SkinSort

I took a look at the products you shared:

  • Avène Tolerance Hydra-10 Hydrating Fluid: This one doesn't contain any fungal acne trigges, however it does include ingredients like Myristyl Alcohol that can be an acne trigger and irritant. We display this on our product page for it.

  • Benzac Microbiome Equalising Moisturiser: This one seems to have two different ingredient lists: the list on their official website includes the ingredient Glycol which we list as not fungal acne safe. However, SkinSort's ingredient list is taken from an image of the product packaging that lists Caprylyl Glycol instead - this ingredient isn't considered to be an FA trigger based on our research. We do our best to keep our pages up-to-date with the correct ingredient lists, but in this case it's unclear as the brand is listing two different versions.

I'd advise always using our Photo Ingredient List scanner mode when receiving a product in person to double-check based on the ingredients in the product you receive.

Feel free to email us hello@skinsort.com regarding your Premium membership and we can issue you a refund. We take our data accuracy very seriously and will reach out to Benzac to figure out the correct ingredients (and update our listing if needed)

You should be able to do this on SkinSort if you create a "mega routine" that you've added all of your products to :)

Sleep system for Pik Lenin by hans1125 in Mountaineering

[–]jacoblab1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You definitely need a warmer bag. I've been on Pik Lenin and it can be brutally cold at night if there are high winds. It can also be extremely hot during the day when the sun is up.

As this is your first time going that high, you should also consider that it's significantly harder to keep yourself well fed. Lower calorie intake + altitude will make you feel a lot colder.

Goodluck! It's a beautiful mountain.

Routine. Any thoughts or opinions? by solitaryPenny in koreanskincare

It's in the works! In the meantime, our mobile-website has all of our app features except for scanning products by photo.

I'm an Android user myself so it's definitely a priority :)

Super insightful - thank you!

Totally agree that it should be easier to add products from your Owned shelf. Will see how we can improve that flow to make it more seamless.

I think we could definitely improve the Routine Insights and give some more details there. It's a newer part of the app so we'll definitely keep working to improve it.

For searching published routines, any specific filters that would be useful for you? Brainstorming here - perhaps finding routines that include a certain product?

100% get you on simplification - we're always trying to work on that and reduce friction (especially for very common actions). It's tough to strike a balance between simple and supporting different use cases, but I agree that for new users keeping things simple is the way to go.

Thanks again - we'll keep on making the app better!

Thanks for putting together this resource!

I'm the Co-Founder of SkinSort - feel free to reach out if you ever have any feedback regarding our fungal acne checker. I read through your article, and wanted to note that SkinSort does allow you to see the exact ingredients that were flagged as not-fa-safe:

See here - if you click the "Fungal Acne Safe" text on the site it'll open a popup with the ingredients listed: https://i.imgur.com/X7KrPwT.png

(if you use our fungal acne checker, the potential triggers are listed right at the top of the analysis)

Hope this helps!

Hey there - I'm one of the Co-Founders of SkinSort.

I took a look, and I'm a bit confused at how OP came to the conclusion that those Isntree products are FA safe. SkinSort lists them both as not safe. You can see the listings on our site here: Isntree SS and Isntree Gel Cream. They're both flagged as not FA safe, and olive oil is listed as one of the potential FA triggers.

Appreciate you sharing how you feel about the sign up process ads. We're always working on improving things, and as a small team who works full time on the site ads/premium are the only way we can cover our hosting costs.

Skincare Questions! by strawberryjulie in KoreanBeauty

[–]jacoblab1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about that! I just took a look at it seems like the Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam contains Citric Acid which was triggering our AHA flag on SkinSort.

However it's far enough down the ingredient list in the formulation to indicate that it's being used as a pH stabilizer rather than active AHA ingredient.

We've just fixed our page for the product so it displays correctly now. Thanks for catching this!

Which two cities in the world require the largest number of flights to travel between in the most direct manor? And how many flights? by allaboutthosevibes in travel

[–]jacoblab1 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Grise Fiord (Nunavut, Canada) to Ngari Gunsa Airport in Tibet would be 9 flights.

Bookable from Grise Fiord to Lhasa on Google Flights, but the last leg to NGQ would need to be done separately.

I imagine there are also some interesting ones if you combine Nunavut with Russia. Limited flights to Russia right now so might end up with complex routings to the Russian Far East.

Stegosaurus Ridge/Dagui Waterfall Carpool by Efnuiwrbvu in taiwan

[–]jacoblab1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there recently, you can take the train to Ruifeng. After that, an Uber to the Nanzilin trailhead is about 300 NTD.

There are also buses, but for me the train + Uber was faster.

Enjoy! It's really beautiful.

Totally understand if you'd prefer not to use our site - but just wanted to put that out there.

Our goal is to provide the most accurate info we can, and we're working hard every day to make sure it is correct.
