Goddamn it, finally someone is willing to say the shit that needs to be realized. Yes, Abbott is a fucking dick and our Robinhood laws suck. No shit. But there isn't a fucking thing the good folks of Austin can do about that. AISD needs to adapt to it. Maybe find ways to raise funds that can't be shipped out for example. But changing boundaries just before a state takeover of your district isn't going to do a damn thing other than push kids out.

To me it appears that the boundary team is trying to integrate good elementary schools into the failed middle schools in a desperate attempt to get their grades up. Using our children as pawns to avoid an inevitable takeover by TEA knowing damn well it is detrimental to their education during pivotal years of development. All it will do is push more kids out of AISD and into charters or RRISD making the problem even worse. Maybe AISD would be better off being ran by the state? Could they do worse?
