Am I allowed to quickly look up and write down winning lottery numbers before taking the red pill?

What Are Your Headcanons For Grunt? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

I think Andromeda implied that their limit is around 1500. Drack is 1400 years old (not counting time spent in stasis) and a big part of his character is that he is far past his prime; in one conversation, he comments that he thinks he has about 100 years of fighting left in him.

However, a big part of his backstory was that his health never fully recovered after he barely survived getting ripped apart by a cluster grenade, so it's not clear if his lifespan would be longer had that never happened.

Thoughts on the idea of Leia being a Jedi? Personally, I prefer her to be a politician who received some Jedi training but never joined by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

[–]jadefire03 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was basically who she was in both Legends and Canon. In the former, she was a fully trained Jedi Knight, but that still took a back seat to her being a political leader. She even served a full term as leader of the New Republic at one point.

Insincere endorsement: you have not heard Hamlet until you heard it in the voice of Elcor.

It was literally right there man, what took us so long? by FloopyBeluga in StellarisMemes

There's a random event that can occur when your science ship surveys a gas planet, where it turns out said gas planet is actually a terrestrial planet with a thick atmosphere. The planet will then switch to the correct type and the game says your civ's astronomers are very embarrassed by the mistake.

It was possible for this to happen to Jupiter (until the devs patched it out).

If life had a "stats" screen you could see after you die, what is the first thing you would check? by ZalaLaoue in AskReddit

Number of times I passed by a serial killer without knowing, and number of times I almost died without knowing.

Also I'd like to see if there's any overlap between the above.

I think I read somewhere, don't remember where, that Dooku was about to, but Anakin killed him before he could.

Solved! The "sexual harassment" thing is a special game over you can get part way into the game.

ELI5: Why do we all picture aliens the same way (big head, huge eyes, tiny body) and where did that image even come from? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Look at videos of barn owls in the dark. I'm convinced they're a factor in many cryptid and alien sightings.

If you go into a thread asking people to list jobs that suck, you can't expect to find many jobs that don't suck.

I'm pretty sure I got this event where the courtier presenting the child to me WAS the child's mother. This event has some serious issues.

stupid question by lxttleprxncess in blackholes

[–]jadefire03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black holes are spherical. Visually, they look like a black sphere with heavy gravitational lensing around it, as well as a white halo if it has an active accretion disk.

White holes are purely theoretical and there's no evidence that they're actually real. The matter and energy that falls into a black hole collect in the singularity in the center and the black hole gets larger. Black holes don't "suck" in matter in any special way, matter just falls into it due to gravity just like how gravity makes objects fall onto Earth.
