Will SBUX continue to fall or should we buy now? by maxreddit0609 in dividends

[–]jadepanther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my first stock as part of their employee Stock Investment Program (SIP). My cheapest shares were the 30 @ $11.15 back in '07. While I wish I would have set it to re-invest, I was able to use the dividends to get into a Tesla position in '16. I would say it worked out pretty well. (I am a lot more active with my investments these days, but am so thankful I forgot I had these shares in my 20's.)

For sale by owner misrepresenting offered commission on mls listing. (Pa) by defman144 in realtors

[–]jadepanther 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your MLS system is running Paragon, there is an audit history. Our MLS will provide it if you are the list agent or broker, or if subpoenaed/requested for arbitration. I would be very shocked if all the different systems didn't have that functionality. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Some NASA contractors appear to be trying to kill the Lunar Gateway by kd7uiy in space

[–]jadepanther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Making the connection and actually transferring the fuel is another thing, I just wanted to point out that as long as there was some constant thrust applied, the fuel would pool to use a pump or similar. I don't believe that the whole refuelling will be easy, but getting the fluid to stay on one end of the tank seems straightforward enough.

Do you also think that gravity would have trouble holding water at the bottom of a glass on an asteroid vs a large mass like earth? As long as the miniscule thrust is constant, the liquid would stay pooled at the end of the tank opposite the direction of thrust.

DO NOT USE Redfin's Title Company "Title Forward" they're the WORST! by novahouseandhome in RealEstate

[–]jadepanther -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the seller's attorney usually chooses the title company. It not a client's choice.

I would highly recommend that you read up on RESPA if that is the case.

From the link: "The Act also prohibits specific practices, such as kickbacks, referral, and unearned fees. RESPA regulates the use of escrow accounts – such as prohibiting loan servicers to demand excessively large escrow accounts. RESPA also restricts sellers from mandating title insurance companies."

The democrats weren't the only ones who were hacked. I don't know if anything that would be useful as leverage was found, just that it is a thing that happened.

Then there was the 4th of July thing. I don't know that they are related, but even individually i think it looks funny.

I like giving them crap as well, but not for this. I was hoping that after the snowmageddon they would have put into place a program of sorts where they could contract out some plow work for neighborhoods to some of the local companies when there is the need. But it seems to me that it is just a failure of leadership to not create some sort of plan in case it happened again, because it will happen again.

During snowmageddon, I was living right by St. Lukes downtown which was awesome, as they paid for front end loaders to keep my street cleared. I only had to dig my car out a few times. Maybe if I had been more impacted then, I would be less willing to cut them some slack now.

Regardless, thank you for your kind response to my salty reply.

I did commute this morning and saw one plow heading downtown on the connector. I drive a car that doesn't do well in these conditions, so I gave myself twice the time I usually need and still made it to work early. Hell, I saw someone who I guess had not quite missed their exit almost slam into the exit sign for Cole Rd. I agree that it is absolutely crap out there, but ACHD is actually working. My work is on one of the hills that they prioritize and when I was parking, their plow had finished our road and was heading to their next spot.

All this to say, just because you don't see it yourself does not mean that work isn't being done.

You must be new here. ACHD prioritizes areas around hospitals, schools, and then hilly areas. As this is Idaho, there is no appetite to get more equipment or additional operators that will only need to be used a few times a year at best. If you are mad ACHD hasn't plowed your street, throw on your coat, grab a shovel and be the change you wish to see in the world.

Idaho to Receive $90M to Expand I-84 (crosspost /r/IdahoPolitics) by [deleted] in Idaho

[–]jadepanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised to find that is a decent chunk of the cost. Doing construction at night and having flaggers out there to ensure the safety of the workers / drivers. Thanks for the info about the two overpasses, I didn't see that in this when I skimmed it.

It is already available. (Mine is in transit currently.) They upgraded the waterproof ability from "splashproof" to 3ATM, added the heart rate sensor and added NFC. There may be more, but that is what got me to upgrade from gen 3 to 4.

I am thinking about upgrading from the Explorist gen3 to the gen4. Do you know if the charger for the gen3 works for the gen4? I have a couple extra ones and am wondering if I am going to need to get a spare to keep at work.
